As much as Ariadne had her own deep dislike of the Qun from years of Tevinter upbringing, that was, surprisingly, not why she could barely stand to look at Tama. No, it wasn’t that. For a while, she hadn’t understood why, but when she saw Tama interacting with some of the children staying at Skyhold, it hit her like a sack of bricks. Tama was, despite the teachings she was imparting on the children, a good mother. Caring, kind, listening to everything they had to say, respecting their choices, even if they weren’t Qun-aligned. 

Fuck, it was everything she hadn’t had.

That upset may have come out in the few interactions they had, however brief, and in the moments where they made eye contact, to the point where she was being asked what the issue was. Not that it was anything she wanted to talk to anyone about, of course. What was she going to say, sorry for being a cow, but my mother didn’t love me and I’m jealous of every child I see in a loving family, and I kind of hate every good mother for not being mine? Even an idiot would see how pathetic that sounded. So she just bit her tongue and stayed silent in her resentment, trying to channel it out in another way.

But apparently, it had gotten distracting, to the point where the Inquisitor was forcing Ariadne to apologize. The very idea of admitting all of this made her sick, but here Ariadne was, awkwardly approaching Tama and trying to work out how best to say ‘I don’t hate you because I’m Tevinter, I hate you because I wish you were my mom’ without actually admitting that.

Pelle had a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time he felt. The talent of for wandering in at inopportune times was the reason he was living the life he was living right now. Of all the things he was expecting to see, it certainly wasn’t a qunari woman beaten on the floor near the wall.

His first reaction? An honest and startled look in which he loudly gasped. Was it because she was a qunari (tall and large and did he mention tall?), or was it because she was injured and very obviously needed help? Quite frankly he didn’t even know himself. he would never admit it out loud but he sort of had a thing for qunari women, something about their strong and often muscular builds just really caught his eye. Strong women were attractive, that was all he had to say about it.

His response to her call was awkwardly delayed, it had taken him a moment to snap to and stop staring at the qunari woman blankly before he managed to come back to reality. He shook his head trying to shake the foggy haze in his brain, surely by now the woman must have thought him to be dumb.

“It’s just me. I’m sorry I don’t mean to stare.” Said Pelle at long last stepping into the light at last.

“Y-you’re injured.” He pointed out as if that weren’t obvious.

He took careful steps towards her keeping an eye out for any sign on her attacker. Once he was sure the two of them were alone he approached a little quicker moving in steps more like an anxious skip than a saunter. The last thing he wanted to do was alarm her, from the looks of it she had been ambushed, he wondered why.

Crouching down in front of the qunari woman, Pelle examined her face. She had a bloody nose, and a black eye forming on top of that. Pelle raised his hands to feel the bridge of her nose but stopped halfway to her face. He had just met this woman--not even really they had only exchanged a simple hello. Perhaps he ought to ask permission before he started prodding her.

“Do you miss home, Tama?”

Tama was the only one who could possibly understand the mixing pot of emotions Rasaan had experienced since leaving Par Vollen. No, she wasn’t the only other Qunari there, though they were extremely scarce in number. However, even though there was the Iron Bull and Rasaan’s own Ben Hassrath guards, she knew none of them could quite feel what she and Tama could. There were many experiences being a woman in Qunari society that weren’t shared with men, just as the reverse was equally true.

3.  what sort of things does your muse AVOID in a partner?

General rule of thumb: don’t be a dick. Kaaras will avoid people who are selfish, cruel, unwilling to learn and listen, and those who aren’t understanding. He will also avoid people who are not cleanly in nature, don’t look after themselves (different if they can’t because they’re poor or something etc), and those who are clingy and in constant need of attention. The biggest is pretty much just don’t be a dick, though. In saying that, Kaaras HAS had a rivalmance (as you know rofl), which has honestly been such a pleasure to learn about and I find it ever amusing! That comes down to chemistry and dynamic, though. 

5.  how easily does your muse fall in love?

I would say Kaaras is VERY easy to crush, but that doesn’t mean love. Love is something much deeper for him than simple infatuation. He also will only fall in love with someone who he feels himself being entirely committed to. He doesn’t do halves, it’s basically all or nothing with Kaaras. And that means time, dedication, learning each other, etc. In saying that, some ships have sailed a lot quicker, and that entirely comes down to chemistry between the muses. I find the calmer muses who are a little cheeky but very loving are the ones that he tends to fall in love with very quickly. If you’re kind, can make him laugh and smile, then you’re pretty much on your way, though.
