5) mickey from scream 2 (1997) because i didn’t even know what his name was when he was revealed even though i probably should have also his hair was fugly

4) roman from scream 3 (2000) because it should be illegal to reveal that a character new to a franchise is actually the child of another character whos already died and also i didn’t give enough of a fuck about him

3) mrs loomis from scream 2 because her motives and methods were really interesting to me. i think boy moms of instagram reels will reach this level of insanity in a few years. i also think sidney was dumb as fuck in the ending scene where she was trying to kill her because why the fuck wouldn’t you kill her with the axe

2) billy loomis from scream (1996) because i already knew it would be him. he’s actually tied for first with stu but what the fuck ever

dude. this entire chapter was completely different than i think anyone expected and the weird route was even crazier. noelle dragging kris into the lake and taking control of the game was insane. the normal route also made it seem like dess disappearance was also lake related and noelle might be going after her. i can’t even begin to imagine how this could possibly lead to one single ending.

in a completionist playthrough of the weird route, susie describes noelle’s behavior during the festival and her behavior is an almost textbook match to that of a person who is about to commit suicide (like how after offering to pay for susie, noelle offered her more money than susie had ever seen in her life)

the chapter 5 weird route is especially jarring because it’s only about 30 minutes, and is almost entirely different from the normal route. kris sleeps until dusk, they don’t even go into a dark world, and almost nothing is interactable, except for sans.

idk i expected the ch5 weird route to force kris to take out the soul and put it into noelle’s body, so this completely subverted my expectations.
