Anon asked this and my reply got too long so I decided to make a separate post. Note that LED boards are generally used by companies and are not the cheapest thing out there. If you are tight on budget and can spare few hours making LED sign yourself may be a better choice.

Ok so first if you live in one of US bigger cities you can probably find a stationery shop which offers LED signs nearby. here is a search engine which can help you

note: only some stores are listed there, if you can't find any place near you it doesn't mean there aren't any. Remember to check store details to see if the shop offers the type of signs you are interested in and if the shop isn't closed before you decide to go there.

If you go to a lot of concerts and are looking for something more universal:

SpellBrite, is not a classic LED sign. Here is their FAQ . Similar solutions can be found when you search for 'LED alphabet letters'

Scandinavian company lightsign offers kind of blackboards on which you can draw with markers. The cool thing is after you turn the board on only the parts you had drawn on light up.

Companies who offer custom LED signs are not that hard to find, if you live in another country, not mentioned in this post just google 'LED sign' in your local language, there should be some results.

Okay so now after I have told you about all these fancy products let me give you some tips:

!Whatever you do your main goal would probably be catching your idols/cameraman attention. If you aren't near the stage I don't imagine them even noticing your iPhone or Galaxy S4 unless you throw it at them (don't try that!)
