Chapter Two - Group 'Study'
"He's so sweet. I hate him."
Letting out a sigh, you shoved your phone underneath your pillow, muffling the music coming out of it.
Why were you thinking of him all of a sudden? You've only recently spoken to him and those were only very brief conversations.
'I haven't made any new friends in a while. That's probably it' you told yourself, pulling up your blanket and tossing around in your bed to get into a comfortable position.
After a gruesome twenty minutes of forcing your eyes shut and trying to rid your brain of thoughts, you finally fell into a deep sleep.
"Oh my gosh, he went platinum blonde" You gasped, rapidly hitting Hyunjin on the arm.
"Dear God" His eyes widened at the picture, "It looks good though?"
"True true" you nodded in agreement, sitting back in your seat, your gaze focused on the door as you waited to see Felix.
Instead, you saw the silhouette of the boy that happened to be the reason for your difficulty to sleep.
As you leaned towards the door, to get a better look, Hyunjin's poke on your shoulder made you jump.
"Staring at Changbin-Hyung, huh?" He smirked, raising his brows slightly as he did so.
"Would you shush. I don't even know him" you denied, hiding your flustered face from your seat mate.
"Doesn't mean you don't like him" He grinned, earning a sharp glare from you.
"(Y/n), do you mind bringing these slips to the office? I have a meeting." The class President, asked you.
"Sure" you agreed, getting up and flashing your seat mate a warning look before collecting the bag of slips.
You followed the President out of the classroom before he headed to the opposite direction, leaving you alone.
You flipped through the slips, recalling what they were for.
"Where do I leave these?" You mumbled to yourself, glancing around the office, crowded with teachers.
"Are you here to submit the forms?" One of them asked.
"Yes Miss." You answered, trailing after her as she motioned you to follow.
"Good morning" she greeted the only other male student, dropping off slips as well.
"Good Morning Miss." He replied, resulting in your breath hitching in your throat as you realized who it was.
"Both of you can leave now" The teacher dismissed, after receiving the bags from both of you.
The two of you silently walked out of the office, only to walk together in the hallway.
"..(y/n) right?" He questioned with a soft voice as he looked into your eyes.
"Y-yes" you flashed him a small smile, watching his previously stiff shoulders relax.
"I...uh...heard you're good at rapping?"Your words took him by surprise as he immediately broke the eye contact with flushed cheeks.
"N-not really" He mumbled, "I just do it for fun"
"I'd like to hear you but I don't want to force you on the spot either" you laughed lightly, the quickening pace of your heart, ringing through your ears.
"Maybe next time" He looked up and beamed.
"That's a promise!" You proclaimed, waving a quick goodbye as you entered your classroom.
You bit your lip in an attempt to hide the growing smile on your face. But of course, Hyunjin could see right through you.
"You talked to him?" He smirked as you went back to sit in your seat.
"No comment" you said, ignoring his teasing as you quickly recalled the small exchange between Changbin and you.
"Felix you little crap" Jisung's loud voice echoed throughout the classroom, gathering everyone's attention.
Felix placed his hand on Jisung's mouth to silence him and hurriedly walked towards his seat, in front of you.
"Damn, it looks really good?" You commented, your eyes glued onto his hair.
"Thanks" He grinned , "I had to bleach it three times"
"Yikes. Worth it though" you said, offering a thumbs up in approval.
"Everyone settle down. I'll take attendance" said your homeroom teacher, immediately urging all of you to stop your morning conversation.
"Yo where'd you get this pen," Felix chattered, holding up the gel pen he had borrowed from you.
"I ordered it online, it's smooth right?" You said excitably
"But it's 20 WHOLE BUCKS!"
"YOU REALLY SPENT 20 BUCKS ON ONE PEN?"
"YES And you should feel privileged that I let you borrow it!"
"Could both of you BE QUIET" Seungmin interrupted , clearly frustrated.
"Sorry " You pouted, returning to reading, as you felt guilty for disturbing him. But that didn't stop you from sticking your tongue out at Felix.
The boy mimicked your actions, also returning to his book, frantically writing on the page.
"Till what time are you staying here?" You whispered, after a moment of silence.
"Until I finish my notes" Felix whispered back.
You glanced at his book, to find that he had a little over five pages left to write, until his notes were complete.
"I'll get us drinks" you announced, already walking out of the extra room, the three of you were occupying.
It didn't take you long to get three drinks from the vending machine at the cafeteria.
As you walked through the silent halls, you couldn't help but appreciate the calm atmosphere, school had, when it was just you and your friends.
When you finally joined the two boys, they still weren't finished and so you decided to rest your head in your arms until they did.
A few minutes passed and you actually ended up drifting off.
"She really fell asleep" Seungmin commented, nudging your arm with his pencil.
"Let her rest!" Felix whisper-yelled as he pushed Seungmin's arm away, accidentally brushing his hand over your head.
Soon the only noise in the room was the sound of pen against paper and your light snores.
"Stop staring" Seungmin scolded, snapping his fingers in front of the boy.
"She must be tired" the blonde boy casually pointed out, pushing away some of your hair and tucking it behind your ear, giving him a decent view of your sleeping face.
"Mhmmm" Seungmin hummed, still focused on his work. "Are you confessing or not?"
The question caused Felix to do a double take, before letting a loud sigh escape his mouth.
"It's not the time" he murmured, the corners of his mouth falling into a deep frown.
"There's no such thing as good timing. There's only bad timing, so you should do it before she gets blinded by someone else" Seungmin wholeheartedly adviced, genuine concern evident on his face.
"I know" Felix replied, bluntly, fully aware that his friend was right. "But I can't. I'm not ready to change anything yet. What we have now is enough"
Seungmin looked at him with sad eyes, deciding to drop the subject.
"I think we're done for the day" he suggested, earning a nod in agreement.
"(Y/n)...wake up" You awoke to Felix gentle shaking your shoulder.
"Huh" Once you established that you had fallen asleep, you rubbed your tired eyes and tried to tie your hair into its former low ponytail.
"We're done" Felix chuckled, packing up your books into your bag and throwing it over his shoulder.
"When did I fall asleep?" You grumbled, still trying to wake yourself up, as you walked in between the two boys.
"Right after you finished your drink" Seungmin laughed, supporting your back with his hand, as you were still trying to wake up.-
"Ohhhh" you hummed, recalling what had happened. "I'm still sleepy"
A/N: whew chapter two done! Sorry it took so long! I have exams coming up so I've only been writing when I'm on my way home from school!
This is another low key filler chapter because I don't want to rush the story, but I feel like I should speed it up since the reader and Changbin have met now 🤔
