I feel so insane about ai. I've had face-to-face conversations with people who use it for therapy, who use it to calculate the safety of pill interactions, who use it for all their emails and grant applications and legal documents and academic papers and finance sheets and for every single question they have about the world, and if you tell them about the ecological costs they just laugh and say "I guess I've used a lot of water." and I've been in multiple gatherings of 10+ people where I'm THE ONLY PERSON who doesn't use chatgpt. it's turning me into a ranting raving pariah, because how don't you people see??? why don't you understand??????? this bullshit didn't exist five years ago, you absolutely do not need it, and it is destroying everything

hi tumblr it's been a while! recently got into cult of the lamb, likely my new hyperfixation. trying to be more carefree with my art yippee!
also tried out some new brushes and techniques, as well as integrating what I've learned while studying.
after some recent life events, I've come to reflect on myself and my art. I have perfectionist tendencies, so much so that I delete art after I make it (!!?) as my brain says it's "not good enough". I've struggled with inner demons for a while now and I haven't shared or made art in too long.
anywho, I'm now in a new environment, with a new tablet and monitor set-up (which I'm so grateful for ;v;). It's been wonderful to have creativity and support around me.

As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."
"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."
It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.
To the people saying this also applies to fat people - you are not derailing! This is true!!!
