Parents need to stop staying in loveless marriages just because they have kids. Stop sacrificing your happiness just so your kids can grow up in a 2 parent household. It’s toxic for the kids to grow up watching a dysfunctional marriage because it warps their perception of what love actually is. I know they think they’re doing what’s best for everyone, but it’s really not.
if you know what i mean when i say there are “angry walking sounds” in the house, would you smash that reblog button, please?
to the heavy-hearted tonight:
there are so many good sunsets and late night chats and great brunches ahead of this.
stay here. i need you.
you have so much to offer the world. dont kid yourself. this funk- itll pass.
but you wont.
you are full of so many brilliant shades of colors the world needs to see.
and its okay if you dont see that tonight, if you dont feel it. because i see it in you. so dont turn off your light. keep living. keep surviving. keep fighting.
you’re worth it.
every time i fuck up plugging in the USB to charge my iphone and scratch it against the underside of the phone i think about that scene at the start of sherlock where sherlock assumes that john watson’s sister is an alcoholic because of the scratches around the charging port of the iphone she gave to him as a gift and i think to myself “man sherlock is a fucking idiot”
OKAY SO ITS NOT JUST ME
Ha ha. Me too!

So apparently last year the National Park Service in the US dropped an over 1200 page study of LGBTQ American History as part of their Who We Are program which includes studies on African-American history, Latino history, and Indigenous history.
Like. This is awesome. But also it feels very surreal that maybe one of the most comprehensive examinations of LGBTQ history in America (it covers sports! art! race! historical sites! health! cities!) was just casually done by the parks service.
This is really great??

“So this is Jack and he has some sort of type of laryngeal paralysis? At least thats what the vet told me.”
Jack: [in the voice of a disillusioned 60-year old man] “Mow. Maow.”
Human holding camera: “This is Jack.“
Jack: “Whoa. Maow.”
Human: “His voice is a little deeper than most cats.”
Jack: “Eugh.”
Human: “Hey buddy.”
Human: [whistles and tuts] “Say hi? Say hi?”
Jack: “Meow.”
Human: “Good boy!”
