I see a lot of people talking shit about paraphiles using the term MAP instead of pedophile and I think if you stop for a minute to think why some people choose to use that label, you would easily figure out why.
The word pedophile is still extremely stigmatized and used interchangeably with "predator" by the general population. When an average person hears that word, they immediately think of a child predator, not a person with paraphilia or a person with a disorder. It makes a lot of sense that some people will be uncomfortable calling themselves a word that is treated as so dirty and dangerous by the society. There is a sense of social shame in being called a pedophile that most people who still suffer with self-acceptance want to avoid. Why make it even more difficult for them to heal from the self-loathing and shame?
Labels are things people choose for themselves. You can't force labels on others and if they feel comfortable using one abbreviation that is more seperate than a mainstream word, that's okay.
(Yes, some people also use it because they want a more broad term but there are enough posts about that so I wanted to bring up a different reason.)

also, endo systems can have trauma! and they cause no harm, you just wanna bully people because they don't have the same experience as you! i'd love to see these "slurs", too, and if they actually do exist, the problem is the slurs, not that someone's an endo system,,, also i've seen anti-endos tell endo systems to kill themselves, that they're not real, and loads of other nasty stuff. that's not "getting upset", that's hatred and bullyin.

I am a fully diagnosed DID system - I used to be anti-endo until a number of months ago when I had a startling realisation that made me reconsider everything:
Restricting the definition of who a label/concept can be applied to falls under the same philosophy that the systems that oppress the disabled fall under.
That is to say - restricting access so that imagined invaders and "appropriators" won't get in.
The endo "invaders" are not oppressors in any fashion. Hating them because our oppressors "won't take us seriously because of them" is joining the war on the side of the oppressors. It's only fighting ableism until the oppressors call out a target that's easy enough to punch down on.
We, as a community, can be better, more compassionate than that. Is this truly what being "radical" is? Stop punching down. For your own sake, too. Is this really the "good fight" you want to win? To remove all the "weirdos who don't belong?"
To my friends who still feel hurt, I understand. But the people you are fighting do not want to hurt you. They just want to understand their own individual human experience. If they are angry at us, they are not in the wrong. You know that rage, too, at being told that what you are is not real, or is impossible to take seriously.
You have been taught to value an idea of a "real" experience based in science. But that science is so limited. The DSM-5 is not a bible, it is written with the intent of treating us, making us more palatable, "worth our place in society". It is not something we should be thumping to ward off "impure" things. We do not need purity. We do not need sanctity. We need safety and community, so we need to build it.
If we view endos, willos, or any type of system as a pest, we will choke ourselves with pesticide to eradicate them. This is not kindness. This is not acceptance. It is cruelty.
Do not give in to the desire to punch down. It will kill you.

the radqueer community isn't an attraction, it's a community and sorta an ideology, i suppose !! to me, the radqueer community is harmful because of the prevalence of harmful transids ( like transrace and transabled ), xenosatanists, and how common pro-contact paras are in the community. there's nothin wrong with being a para, and not all radqueers are xenosatanists or pro-contact or use harmful transids — but simply bein in a community that allows predators and abusers to thrive is enough for kitty to be incredibly anti-radqueer.

I’ve wanted to share these for a bit now, I was inspired by childlove symbols, but felt they were too MAP centric and decided to make my own kinda symbols.
Meaning:
Outer outline: represents family/type of animal Inner outline: represents the love for the animal, wether it be sexual, romantic or tertiary.
These symbols are strictly anti contact and anti abuse, you also may notice that they’re a boring white, which is on purpose. They’re meant to be colored in yourself! Here’s an example with a symbol of a thylacine I made for myself:
You can do it easily on procreate by inserting the photo as the canvas and making a layer mask, I hope it’s similar for other drawing softwares too. Maybe I’ll make a separate post just exploring diff ways to color it if it turns out a lot of people need to ask.
Side note: I know these are very mammal centric which I apologize for :(( I have a different style that I want to approach the reptiles and avians with which is why I only made mammals this time
