Hey so this is awkward... "the" has now become a dogwhistle for a small reactionary movement contained entirely within Scrunglo's Wonderful Adventures's fandom. So like, watch out for people using that word. Any people at all. As we all know, dogwhistle theory is about ceding common language to the first reactonaries who claim it, not about thinking critically and evaluating what's said in context.

Will this kind of suspicion towards something used by literally every English speaker disproportionately affect people who are already marginalized simply because of unexamined biases inside spaces that try to enforce it? Nah don't worry about it. It's literally fine.
