First assignment for Relief printmaking: Good and Evil, light/dark and balance. Whatever interpretation we want. CHEE. Obviously the choice is always 8-eyed cats, duh.  Hell yeah. And threw in some Takashi Murakami styled skulls.  and first proof!! Supes stoked, and obviously, EASTSIDE til a muhfucka die. Kailuaforever. I love kitty

The past couple days have been hectic as all hell.  It's Welcome Week and the busiest times for student orgs, especially greeks. MGC had a welcome day that we strolled to, and also 2 separate org fairs with MCOR and SuperMerc@do. Ya we hella latino out here.....kinda. hahaha.. But working for BETA and helping the Fraternity in any capacity is never a burden.  I live for this, and now that it is senior year, I'm going out like a King.  Two Hand Tony and I made new display paddles for the board and to show at the fairs, gain interest and stunt.  We snapped tho, and as an art major, this is really just more canvas.  Supes stoked. We also had an Interest Kick back and informational.  The Art Bro of the Smooth MOB, I'm always designing flyers and below is the quick up for the events this past weekend.

Hella Alumni came through also....and we all died, mostly livers. No L's were taken. 

When I look out the window, I exhale a prayer of thanks for the color green, for my children’s safety, for the simple acts of faith like planting a garden that helped see us through another spring, another summer. And I inhale some kind of promise to protect my kids’ hopes and good intentions we began with in this country. Freedom of speech, the protection of diversity — these are the most important ingredients of American civil life and my own survival. If I ever took them for granted, I don’t know.

GREEKLIFE

Today was the Multicultural Greek Council's MGC Day.  It is the first Welcome Week event for the multicultural fraternities/sororities and used as a showcase event for the Yard to do a small roll call and show off a bit. Currently, I am the oldest in the chapter for Betas.  In these past (almost) 3 years, I have never strolled or stepped.  Two Hand Tony told me all that non-dancing shit is over...and it's time to step out and put in work!  Kinda....sorta.  Shoutouts to the randomness of jumping in at the end.  ITTAI STROLLED. Going out like a boss for senior year!

Today in Sculpture we learned the basics of sewing. Shoutout to my Grandma for keeping me ONE-HUNNID and on top the sewing machine game! Crazy fun. Extremely practical and handy skill to have in your bag of tricks. Oh you need yo shit stitched? I GOT YOU. But really tho this first Thursday of the semester is moving on to a great start! My Intermediate Poetry workshop seems like a relief and loosely open semester.  This Sculpture course is going to cover a breadth of disciplines, even metalwork and welding! So stoked.  Sewing is the first section and we are only spending a week with the machines, but it has already been a solid fun filled afternoon. We messed around with crazy stitches and epic fabrics. Ripstop cord Nylon parachutes...are by far the illest material we have our hands on. CHUTES!

Later tonight, I got called into Stroll Practice by Two Hand Tony, and hilarity ensued.  I don't stroll. I film bros strolling, and yell and chant. YUH. But tonight the fellow Air Temple Monk needed help keeping neos in line. We were there from 8 to 11pm practicing for MGC Day/Welcome Week.  #LB!
