I don't get why people get confused or mad about Tenzin breaking up with Lin because she didn't want to have kids. Like, that is a perfectly reasonable and understandable reason to split up? What was he supposed to do? Should Tenzin, who both wanted to be a father and who was the last airbender and wanted to have children who could carry on with their culture, have remained childless and miserable? Or should he have pressured Lin until she accepted having children she didn't want? Like, idk, from what we know the breakup was obviously messy, but it's also easy to understand because it was literally the only option lmao. Even Lin ended up understanding, with time.

Like people in general should not be with someone if one person wants kids and the other doesn’t. Staying together in that situation will only cause problems in the long run. Tenzin literally admitted that him and Lin were drifting apart because they wanted different things. Lin literally looked at her sister having 5 kids and called it a nightmare. It was for the best for both of them.

Don’t forget the scene when a bunch of people were making up poetry about who they had a crush on and found attractive and when it was Kyoshi’s turn she recited one of Kuruk’s love poems to Hei-Ran without realizing it. I’m 100% convinced everyone thought she was describing Rangi since she and her mom look so similar.
