Hey, chooms! Iâm backâŚsorta. Iâm now over on @araexec! Iâm shifting my focus onto Katsuo for now. Hope to see yall there!
Hi, are you still active on here?
// Hi! Currently on hiatus, but still do lurk. Plan on returning eventually. Just donât know when since life had become a lot this year.
// Hello! A bit of an update!
Again, apologies for the silence. I am not dead. May just ended up being a lot busier than I thought. Not to go into a lot of detail, been doing more shows, dealing with family issues, and also just overall exhaustion from work.
Itâs getting back under control and I should be back to writing early June. Itâs just going to be a little while longer. I miss being on here and I have been lurking and plotting with some of yaâll!
// Hello! Popping back in here to say that itâs my birthday! Am 31. YayâŚ
Every time I sit down to write seems like I all of a sudden get busy again. Still have no forgotten anyone and still plan on coming back. Love and miss all of you beautiful people!

the way in which she was addressed, brought slight surprise upon his features. however, it wouldnât last for long. saying nothing, he allowed david to explain their situation without prying too much. after all, han didnât think he needed to know as muchâsimply taking things at face value, & coming to understand more about futabaâs point of view. if it was true that sheâd visit, then he could already have an idea of the kind of things that sheâd see. anything to persuade him into taking her side over davidâs.
his stare shifts to the drink that david is given, & watches him gulp it without a grimace on his featuresâstill recalling, how quick he was to drink at the beginning, when his experience was limited & he was still very much more of a lightweight compared to now. it made him think of just how well he had adapted, despite his limitations ; prompting him to take a look at his shoulder, which had considerably healed since. it sure had been a risk to hire him, considering his situation with the yakuza, but despite his age, david had at least, proved himself capable of improvement. his â aunt â , as he liked to refer to, could have a different perspective.
âi wouldnât imagine her to be happy, just as most parents would.â especially her, who knew this wasnât just any regular host club. her reaction was understandable, even though, he could also understand davidâs frustrations. âsheâs right about school.â he merely comments, unaware of his situation regarding that. however, if she mentioned it, it must be for a reason. something that wasnât entirely out of his reach. his frustrated sigh made him chuckle, finally turning his head to make direct contact whist his cheek rested against his closed fist. âyou are an adult. thereâs no denying that, but it sounds to me, that sheâs simply looking after you.â the way a mother would with their own child. he might not like it, but being older, had made han more understanding of her instead. âdoes she know about your debt?â
Deep down, he knew Han was right. Taking Futabaâs side would be the more logical and ethical solution in the end. I mean, why wouldnât he? While David had proved himself to be an asset here; being able to entertain many patrons, having his own regulars, able to hold his drinks better than he first started, being able to keep up with Sunnyâs choreography for performances, and improving his body and appearance. Â
He had Sunny, Daeyun, and even Mako to thank for that. Sure no one had taken him up on extra services, but his arm was healing which meant he could fight again soon. However, even with all of those things, he was still a liability as long as he had that connection to the yakuza and police.
âShe does.â, David answers honestly.  âOriginally, I had not planned on telling her. I didnât want her to be responsible for my debt. She already has a lot on her plate. Now sheâs taking it upon herself to be responsible for some gaijin kid that isnât even hers.â He took another drink. The way he phrased it made him sound so ungrateful.
âI know I should be grateful, and I really am. I know I could have it a whole lot worse. I care about Aunt Ito a lot. Thatâs why I had no plans on telling her. It just...doesnât make sense why she cares this much about me.â David only knew a little bit about her home life. He knew that she had a mother she was taking care of and she appeared to be around his motherâs age. Â
vendettamusesâ:
If ever there was a time when Rebecca seemed like a mindreader, it would be right about now. She was quick to pipe up in regards to Jaxenâs comments on the severity of her choomâs situation. âI told him not to keep pushinâ it, ma! But he just kept shrugging us off, sayinâ how he was special! Got the idea in his head that he could fight God just because he could take a few extra knocks from that Sandy of his!â
Jaxen shook her head a bit and smiled at the both of them again. âYouâve told me, Becca. While it is remarkable that you were able to display a lot more endurance for the Sandevistanâs effects without proper training, tolerance does not equate to invincibility. Remember that, hijo. Take it from me: just because you stay standing longer in a fight doesnât mean you wonât eventually go down.â She turned back towards the countertop by her computer and set to pulling on some gloves and organizing her tools. âStill, I can understand why that would make it hard to part with. Aside from the sentimental value, the adrenaline rush of being able to endure its effects can sometimes create an effect that makes you feel high for a lack of better term. It becomes a dangerous habit of seeing how far you can push yourself. And that addiction to danger, that edgerunning between the high and the crash only ever goes one way.âÂ
Cyberpsychosis.
After a moment of quietly prepping syringes, hardware tools, and medical instruments, he offered her his answer. And in turn, she nodded, securing her gloves all the way up to her elbows and pulling a medical mask over her face. âGood plan. Thatâll be the best thing you can do for right now. Lets your meat body recover from the trauma and totally tanks the amount of pills youâll be popping like candy. I kind of figured youâd want to try and step down on the Sandevistan. Thereâs a couple options I have available.â
She moved aside to show one of the other screens. On it was a rare model of the Biodyne Berserk. It was a significant step-down from a Sandevistan. It didnât offer his warping, but it certainly compromise all that much power either. An ideal match for Maineâs hands at least. âBerserkâs about as civilian-friendly as it gets. Iâll have to tweak some things to ensure compatibility, but this OS still features some strong firepower. And best of all? You wonât need to take immuno-suppressors if you go with this one. âCourse, if thatâs not your style, just let me know. Iâll try and find something more suitable. Just remember, this is only temporary.â
Getting chromed was a slippery slope. It always starts with getting one piece of meat replaced, then before you knew it, all your vital organs were machines that need constant work and check-ups to make sure you were still compatible. It was a huge money sink, but Jax genuinely seemed to care more about the well being of her patients, rather than taking his money.
Jaxen spoke nothing but the truth. David fell victim to that high. He lasted longer than the most hardened military vets and he was lucky he only had very mild symptoms. While he honestly didnât care about his own health, his loved ones did. He would do this for them, not for himself. He just hopes he doesnât relapse and come demanding to have the Sandy put back in him. Perhaps he needs to look into therapy as well.
He preps for therapy, removing the necessary amount of clothes so she could have access to all the ports and openings of his modifications. He was no longer shy about stripping in front of others, especially the opposite sex. The amount of times he had seen Lucy and Kiwi without clothes while net running didnât even phase him anymore. The clinic felt like a freezer, but David had grown use to it. It was necessary for even his own living spaces to remain this cold since it was the only way to keep his body temperature from rising. Â
He took his place in the operation bay, looking at her possible solution to be the substitute for the Sandevestan. A Biodyne Berserk? Honestly, it wasnât a bad option. Sadly, it meant he couldnât rely on warping to get out of situations anymore, however, according to those specs, it definitely more than made up with its fire power. That and being able to be off the meds would help significantly. Â
âYeah, letâs go with the Berserk. I agree thatâs probably my best option right now. Going to miss being able to warp, but my body has taken too much damage from me doing that. Iâve relied on it way too much.â

Full attention is given, as is concern for what appears to be a display of undermined self-esteem and a history of disadvantage. Brianne took the liberty of looking more closely at Davidâs student file. Not the typical Academy student, though he might be underestimating how atypical he is in the grander scheme of corp employment. A hum sounds before she starts to answer. Her own youth tucked away in elite boarding schools seem too far behind but not useless to recall.
âWell, high school is a microcosm. A bubble we might say to the realities of the corp world. Of course, these halls hold many akin to your classmates with family already working at the corp. But not all have such connections. And not all hail from the Academy either. Then there are many who signed contract to put food on their familyâs table or to feed themselves.â A pause is taken during which she refolds her hands while trying to negate a sigh, feeling this is not exactly what he wants to hear.
âI will say once here, your supervisor cares more about your results than your background. Of course, you still need to finish your schooling and that does not change your current situation, Iâm afraid. Classmates can be so unkind, I know.â
No. She doesnât understand. Why did he expect anything more? No matter how many times he utilized things like the student counseling or online therapy, he always ended up back where he started. Not like he could blame her. With a company like Arasaka lining her pockets, why should she care about the struggles of some Santo kid?Â
âIf the academy cares so much, why didnât they offer me those opportunities before my mom went into debt!?â he snapped.  âShouldnât my entrance exam scores be proof enough that I deserve to be here? What about the rest of my classmates who are in the same situation as me!?â David was completely aware he was getting emotional right now, but he was done playing nice with Arasaka suits. He wanted to let her know right now he wasnât going to be a pushover.
âUnkind? Ms. Landry. Do you know how often Trauma team visits the academy because of a fight that breaks out or another suicide attempt!?â, he yells, getting increasingly frustrated. He tries to calm himself down, taking deep breaths. However, she was right about one thing. If he didnât eventually return to school, with or without the academyâs help, it would be a matter of time before law enforcement got involved. Â
âIs...it possible I can get my remaining credits off site? Is it really necessary to return to the academy in person?â, he asks once calm again.

his inquiry about hana shouldnât be any surprising. it was a subject that they had to touch before moving on to whatever disturbed david enough to approach him directly ; noting the colouring of his cheeks but making no comment about it. the amusement in his smile was hidden as a glass was brought to his lips, capturing the rim with them & taking a sip. a satisfied sigh escaped him afterwards, settling his drink on top of a coaster with stardustâs new logo. âshe was gone for a while, so i canât even blame daeyun for not informing you. it completely went over all of our heads.â including his own, as evidently made by his phrasing. just when he thought he was free from her⌠han didnât want to dwell too long about it ; turning his head towards the david, before giving him a quick glance from head to toe. his condition seemed better from last time he had seen him.
âhm?â his curiosity is piquedâhis eyebrows are risen upon hearing the familiar name, & for a moment, the man remains silent. duri would be the one to intervene & place a glass filled with ice before david, asking if heâd like anything, as if he could tell that whatever this was about, would require of some liquid courage or even just water to clear his throat. it disrupted the quietness that followed hanâs realization, appearing thoughtful on the matter. his head gave out its response before his words did, nodding slowly. âiâm acquainted with her.â he admitted, & did not let any more information slip out on the matter. not until he knew what his association with her was. âwhat is she to you?â
David was so relieved the whole Hana situation was a big of a deal as he thought nor did anyone else had to face Hanâs wrath because of his mistake. At least Han was a reasonable man...most of the time. He had been warned by coworkers that Han could become a bit moody. The last thing David wanted to do was cause trouble for him, especially since he had to pull a lot of strings just to get hired here. Doubt he would hire anyone else that had a bad should and was barely old enough to drink in this country legally.
As Duri asked David for his drink order, he asked for a new york sour. He had been much better about holding down his liquor since he started here and had the tolerance for one more before he left for the night. At least he didnât have vocational school tomorrow. Â
He knew the name would sound familiar. Miss Ito was a police officer and it it really was true Han had connections with the organized crime syndicates, he didnât doubt that it was her that made visits to this place. David still had a lot of explaining to do, but it was always best to start from the beginning. Be honest and donât leave anything out. He only hoped that Han would take his side.  How to answer his question? Even he wasnât so sure about that.
âAunt Ito...â, he started.  âWell, at least thatâs what I often call her. We aren't related by blood nor is she a guardian, even if she does feel like it. If I had been a few years younger, no doubt she would have probably gone through the process to legally adopt me. Sheâs more like a good family friend.â He hoped that explanation was good enough. Â
When his drink finally came, he took a sip, before finally explaining why he needed to speak with Han about this matter specifically.  âI was told by Daeyun and Sunny to not make it known I work here. I kept true to my word and never spoke to anyone outside here about it. However, I ran into Aunt Ito while I was trying to pick up potential patrons outside the club earlier today. She wasnât very happy with me. Said that I needed to be focusing on school full time and that Iâm prostituting myself...â he sighs frustrated.  âI love her, but its like she still sees me like a little kid. Iâm a man now and I can do whatever I want with my body. Besides, I need this job. I still have a huge debt to pay.â

@tigermcthââ says:  [straddle]  jeoh  straddles  katsuo
Katsuo didnât have to say a thing.  Jeoh knew exactly what he wanted and why he was here.  He had become a frequent client of his as of late, visiting almost weekly now.  It would have been more but unfortunately his work with Arasaka kept him too busy. Never had he thought he would need to seek the services of a joytoy. Expensive pornographic BDs were just not doing it for him any more and he did not want to be caught dead walking inside Lizzieâs for the good ones. While he had a few interested coworkers, he didnât want to risk some sort of scandal making its rounds. Â
Jeoh was his favorite little secret. The boy knew exactly how Katsuo liked to be pleasured and all it took was a few thousand eddies. He couldnât believed he was this cheap. He wished he could have him all to himself and it angered him that he had to share him with other people. He didnât even want to think about other corpoâs disgusting hands all over his pet, however the marks all over his perfect little body were constant reminders of that.
The corpo sits down on the freshly made bed of the cheap hotel Katsuo managed to book for them for the night. He paid for Jeohâs time for the whole night and he needed somewhere with a bit more privacy.  âThatâs a good boy...â, he praised as he stroked his cheek like a cat. He loosens his tie with his other fingers, already feeling himself get hard in anticipation. Before Katsuo leaned into to kiss him, he pulls away, disappointed that he caught site of another love bite on his neck, most likely from a previous client. Â
âDid someone else play a little too rough with my toy earlier?â

// Hello! I am back! Thank you all for being patient with me. Show was a lot of fun. Not the turnout I was expecting but was still glad I got to be along side very talented people. Con was a lot of fun. My museâs VA was there but sadly didnât get to meet him. It was a very VA heavy con with almost 40 guests in attendance. Iâm sure thereâs always next time since I do several shows a year.
Going to slowly start getting replies out throughout the week! Â
// Hello! Just an update! Been still very busy with work and getting ready for a show this weekend. Chances are Iâm probably not going to get to any sort of replies till next week after the show is over. Still havenât forgotten any of you.
// Katsuo is absolutely a toxic Genshin Impact fan. His waifu favorite character is Raiden Shogun.
// Hello! Just a little update. I got switched to nights at work. Been trying to get used to the change as well as getting ready for a show in a few weeks. Should be back on this week in squeeze in some replies. Sorry for taking so long, especially since some plot points I have are already starting to pick up!

@mugunghwcââ continued from [x]
David smiles weakly as he joins his boss at the bar, glad he isnât in a bad mood. He had been warned by several of his coworkers that Han had to ability be quite brutal. He just hopes he wouldnât be at the other end of his wrath. The only time he would want to experience a beating is if he ever had the opportunity to fight him personally in the ring. They were both quite tired. Best to get to the point as soon as possible. Â
Han asks about Hana, his cheeks instantly blushing as he recalled his encounter with her a few days ago.  âWell..that, and there was something else. Still, thank you for that. Iâm sorry I caused so much trouble that night. I seriously had no idea she was allowed to be here. I hope she made it home alright.â he said gratefully, but also concerned for Hana. He hoped Han wasnât too harsh with her, even though she had every intention of breaking her promise to him that night. David should be mad that she tried to use him, but for some reason, he couldnât. Â
âThere...was something else that happened earlier today.â He winced, nervous that he was once again unintentionally causing more trouble, never ceasing to find him.  âDoes the name Futaba Ito sound familiar to you?â
prvtocolâ:
The glass of red punch adorning the directorâs one hand is decidedly that, an adornment forgotten as it wavers at her front. When the student takes a sip of the sweet concoction, only does she do the same. The boardâs decision to convene on applications following the mixer is enough of a reason to keep herself alert and her glass full. A surprise to even see a choice between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages considering there are students present, but perhaps this is a test. So far, Katsuo Tanaka is not showing signs of being slowed. Though he is rather loquacious, even bringing up his father â the elephant in the room.Â
âI did.â Despite the posh accent, Brianneâs voice is habitually soft and liable to let slip emotions. In this case, that of commiseration. âItâs commendable of you to have attended this event so soon after. I did not want to mention it as the start and thus derail our conversation, but I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a tireless worker for the corp, his absence will be felt.â No doubt he has heard this from others who are more willingly polite despite any personal opinion one might have of Mister Tanaka as a person. In any case, the sonâs appearance tonight does show character.
A lobbyist. How unique and nicely specific. The majority of applicants vaguely gesture to a department, very rarely a job. âIn NUSA, lobbyists remain more essential than ever. There are opportunities to match you with our PR dept and you could shadow someone in the field, see if it is of interest I also seem to recall your Japanese scores are quite high or am I thinking of someone else?â
Katsuo had been blissfully unaware of the alcohol in his drink. He had never been the best judge of tolerance when it came to drinks, even though he was of legal drinking age. Sweet drinks were often the most deceiving, often having way too many of them when he went to parties and social gatherings. So far he was faring well, still very coherent and hasnât regret saying anything yet. Only a little flush. Maybe he should slow down. He put his drink on a near by table, to prevent him from drowning his nerves in it.
His father. Man, what a way to go. He was never given the full details of his death but the little he was told, it sounded like he was tortured. Katsuo could admit he didnât love his father, nor did they have the best relationship, but he didnât deserve what ever that was.  âReally, it no problem. Thank you, really means a lot. Itâs still a lot to process, but Iâm managing the best I can.â, he replies as the director gave her condolences.  âHe did always put the corp before anything else.â Even his own family. Â
Enough about his personal family matters. He was sure he was going to be asked about it several more times by several of coworkers at this mixer before the night was over. He piped up when she asked about his career of interest in his test scores.  âTop scores in advanced Japanese and English at Arasaka Academy and number three in Japanese in the entire country!â, he brags.  âAccording to my last placement, my strengths appear to be language, communication, and writing skills.â, he explains.
At the mention of possibly shadowing someone from the PR department, his eyes lit up excitedly. Getting in with Arasakaâs PR department was the dream. âWould...would that even be possible? I heard they only select only a few applicants for that department every year. You think...I would have a chance?â Of course he did. Being too over confident could rub people the wrong way. He needed to be a little more humble.Â
