โ ย stars, this is so embarrassing. i need your help, okay ?ย โ (padmรฉ)

padme was at her desk in the senators building, rather thick piles of paper placed in front of her. she only had a few days to read up on those documents so that she was prepared to debate against the new bill the chancellor and some others wanted to pass. sometimes, she would catch herself slowly losing faith in the democracy she once thought many believed in. nowadays, it truly felt like many switched over to the opposition while she fought so hard to stay adrift and do what was right.
sure, she had friends she could forever count on but ... it did feel like it wasn't going to be enough, as sad as that sounded. she was just about to open yet another file when her door opened without any warning, a familiar face appearing quickly followed by threepios whose complaints about having to wait so that he could warn his lady went in one ear and came out the other without any of them making senses of it.
padme stood up at the view of her friend, eyebrows furrowing slight. โ i doubt there is anything embarrassing about needing my help. โ she tilted her head to the side, curiosity getting the best of her as she forgot about her tasks for a moment. โ what can i help you with? โ
Starter Call
The last place Qira thought she'd be was in an office building. She had been brought here by one of her advisors, who knew as she continued her training to one day take over her father's place, she would need to have connections to people in high places. The man led the young Sith to a fairly large office within the building itself, knocking gently before entering inside once he was told he was allowed to enter. He gave a gentle bow to @prvtocol sitting inside, and motioned for Qira to enter.
The girl's presence was much like her father's, strong and powerful, though less refined as she was still learning. However she seemed to hold an air about her that felt far more noble and contained than Vader. She had been taught well by her mother.
"Ms. Guyot, I have the pleasure to introduce you to Lord Vader's daughter, Qira. We figured if she is to one day take over her father's place, she might as well meet some of the important figures that help fund the Empire."
Qira did not speak yet, instead she watched the banker with quiet interest, observing her, as if to try and glean just what all the woman was about by just looks alone.

Let's talk about Tarre's childhood then! :D
Tarre was born in Mandalore proper, to a very Mandalorian mother and her extended family. They were, in the technical sense of the word, a Clan. But Clan Vizsla was not what it would become, was not powerful, not influential. They had a house, and their work, and that's it.
And Tarre, who started showing the signs of Force-sensitivity at two, was raised like a very Mandalorian child. Despite the misgivings, the fears, the caution about what Force users could do.
It's worth saying that, despite the fact that Tarre needed training and otherwise would become a danger to himself, and was afraid of his own abiities, if the Jedi hadn't been warriors at that time, if the Army of Light hadn't been fighting openly against the Sith, Tarre's family wouldn't have let go of him. But the Jedi could teach him, and he'd become a warrior, and that was the best they could give him.
By the time Tarre arrived to the creche, he already came with many beliefs he didn't so much unlearn as adapt. He also came knowing Mando'a and Huttese... and the most elemental notions of Basic. So the first year was a lot of Tarre learning how to communicate around people who used the Force for no small part of it -which had been something of a cultural taboo back in Mandalore- and learning the language.
By the time he was seven, he got in trouble by punching another child who had insulted Mandalorians. That's how he met the man who would be his Master: an old diplomat the Council chose, because Tarre was the first Mandalorian child, and they were already worrying and wondering and many of them expected that this would be it, that Tarre's violence was already something that would never disappear.
The truth was a bit more complicated: Tarre had defended his honor the only way he knew how. He knew it had not been the right answer, where he was, because he was a perceptive child. He had no idea how to have answered it otherwise, and he was prepared for punishment and frustrated and tired. And the old Master, Rothe, managed to coax the truth out of the child. It was a long conversation. Tarre, who had already been frustrated with his knowledge of Basic, was even more frustrated by the end of it. But he came out of the conversation with an adult who promised to explain what Tarre didn't know, no matter how obvious. And Rothe came out of the conversation having seen that what the Council feared, that hunger for violence they expected, was not there.
Everything else went smoother after that. Tarre learned the language, went from a frustrated, quiet child to someone who enjoyed learning, and slowly grew confident. He made a friend, then another, and suddenly he was the public face of their mischief, and they were learning lightsaber combat, and Tarre's sense of humor and unstoppable curiosity was there, and some were seeing a child where there had once been just a Mandalorian child.
Of course, it was not that easy. Tarre enjoyed lightsaber combat more than most were comfortable with, for all he loved the craft, and never the hurting. But that's a story for another day, because there were Masters, and not few, who saw only his people in him, and in the way so many of his childhood beliefs still stood within him.

Whatโs the one apology theyโre still waiting for thatโll never come?
Luke trying to kill him in his sleep.
What random skill are they weirdly proud of?
I wouldn't necessarily call it random, but he is, in fact, an exceptionally good pilot. If he would not have gone the route of Jedi as a teen ( due to life situations ) he would have rather been a star pilot racer. He might even still keep up on the scores of some races even as Supreme Leader. It's a secret guilty pleasure. Though he is absolutely certain he could beat them all.

๐ Whatโs a trope you love and will never get tired of?
While my first answer would be "enemies to lovers" and "enemies to bffs", this is not one that has applied to Tarre so far, so let's go further: I'm extremely weak to characters that look competent and are genuinely competent, but not in the way that's expected due to their appearance.
I'm also weak for kindness making a difference. Maybe it doesn't save the day. Maybe it doesn't change the ending. But it was there, and it mattered, and something was made better because someone chose to be kind. That's my weakness.
๐ซ Whatโs a trope you avoid or dislike?
Love at first sight, for one: I'm just not a fan. Also, misunderstandings that could be solved if the characters thought about it a little. A logical misunderstanding can be a beautiful tragedy. A misunderstanding that depends on characters acting outside of what they've been shown to be... not so much.

Secret relationships? Or sneaky ones. Especially if there is a lot of gossip around it. Ugh, yeah. All my tropes are shippy, sorry. LOL ALSO corrupting my muse? Like intentionally bringing out the bad over the seduction of a relationship. Yes please, thanks.
