okay but genuinely what issue could people possibly have with you shipping literally two adult characters. like what sort of hate were you getting? is it somehow problematic to ship cartoon characters? fictional characters? non human characters? do they perceive some sort of age gap that they deem too large? people are so damn obnoxious and will pick literally any reason to stir shit up. at this point i honestly think most fandom spaces are fairly miserable unless you’ve curated them extensively. i mean i can’t scroll through a tag for something without coming across someone talking shit about it. and don’t get me wrong, i love talking shit about things, and in terms of actual criticism i think it’s important to be critical of media you love even if only for the sake of maintaining media literacy, but it’s also nice just to have fun and genuinely enjoy something every now and then. it’s so exhausting to see people getting policed for “problematic” fandom behavior or enjoying and engaging with a piece of media that might have flaws, like damn aren’t y’all tired?? idk. and of course @ whoever may read this i do mean all of that within reason; there are boundaries and limits within what i’m talking about just think for a moment before leaving a stupid comment on my ask that poor op will have to deal with. anyway sorry you’re being harassed for no good reason the internet legit sucks mega ass now i’m exploding everything with my mind bye
