Pairing: Jinx x Lux (League of Legends/Arcane)
“H-hello?” she whispered, pressing her back against the invisible barrier as her eyes bounced around wildly. Her hand fumbled behind her for her staff, but her face drained of color when she came up empty. She let out a shaky breath when she remembered she’d purposefully left her staff among her belongings back at the hostel, worried it would draw more attention to her when she needed to be sneaky. So stupid, Lux, she cursed herself as her hands shook in fear. The voice clicked softly in mocking disdain.
“Naughty, naughty girl,” the voice tsked as two wide, violet eyes appeared in a dark alcove a few feet in front of Lux. The woman, the alpha, was shrouded in darkness, standing just past the dim yellow light between them. Lux strained her eyes to see the intruder to no avail, which only served to make her feel more vulnerable since she knew that she was in clear view of the stranger. “Breaking and entering is quite the crime, Buttercup.”
“I didn’t, I just,” Lux started, pushing off from the invisible barrier and shaking her head rapidly. Her words tapered off to a squeak as the alpha advanced toward her so fast that the alpha was nothing more than a blurred flash. Adrenaline bubbled in Lux’s veins as she threw her arms in front of her face, a shield of light forming from her fingers just as the stranger reached her. Lux cried out as the alpha easily smashed through her shield, grabbing Lux’s neck with one pale hand and pushing her against the invisible barrier at her back as the other pointed a pistol covered in doodles at her.
“Cool trick, omega,” the alpha purred, ghosting her pistol down Lux’s cheek almost lovingly. Lux’s body shook as she stared up at the dangerous alpha, her hands glowing a soft yellow hue. When she’d heard someone in the menagerie, she assumed it was an enforcer or a night guard that she had missed, but now that she could see the intruder she knew an agent of the law was the farthest thing from who stood in front of her. She was short for an alpha, although still tall enough that Lux had to tilt her chin up if she wanted to meet those wild violet irises. The alpha was lanky, lean muscle even more apparent with the amount of flesh Lux could see. She swallowed roughly as her eyes traced the blue cloud tattoos that trailed from her right arm all the way down to her small hips, where they disappeared into her ragged purple striped pants. Most shocking was the alpha’s hair, which was bright blue and braided to the floor in two long braids, a swoop of her hair hanging messily to one side of her face.
The alpha’s scent was suffocating now, and Lux wondered how she had managed to miss it. The alpha smelled filthy, like a mechanical factory or pure petrol oil, but the scent only made Lux sniff deeper instead of wrinkling her nose. The scent warmed her flesh and tickled her core, and when Lux met the alpha’s menacing gaze once more, the alpha smirked like she knew it too.
“Just let me go, please,” Lux pleaded, her voice nothing more than a breathy whisper with the alpha’s long fingers squeezing her neck. Her heart raced, pulsing right beneath the alpha’s grip. The alpha hummed softly, moving her hand to tap the barrel of her pistol against her own chin in thought.
“If I’m feeling generous…” she trailed off, licking her lips as she lowered her head to the crux of Lux’s neck. Lux froze as she felt the woman nudge her nose against the soft flesh there, nuzzling right against her sensitive scent gland. The alpha inhaled deeply with a soft groan, before Lux felt something wet lick up the column of her throat, over her jaw, and along her cheek. Violet eyes sealed shut in momentary bliss. Lux flinched as the alpha nipped at her cheek before retreating a few inches and opening her eyes once more, which had darkened. “Fuck, that’s good stuff there, blondie.”
“Now where was I? Oh, right,” the alpha furrowed her brows as she shook some of the heat from her gaze. Before Lux could react, the woman snapped her fingers, pulled Lux toward her by the grip of her neck, and delivered a swift blow with her pistol to the back of Lux’s head. The alpha’s irritated voice was the last thing Lux heard as the alpha lowered her body to the ground and her vision went black.
“I wasn’t trying to kill her and I didn’t fucking ask you anyway, so shut up!” she yelled over her shoulder above the unconscious omega. She pointed her gun haphazardly in the direction she yelled, breathing heavily with wide, crazed eyes that weren’t all there. “Reasons? Who needs reasons?”
