Absolutely in love with my newest addition. First tattoo not on my arms. This means so much to me. This is not only an homage to my favourite artist Melanie Martinez and her album/song "Crybaby", but to my mental illness, Borderline Personality Disorder. See, people with BPD are often viewed as too "sensitive." Every emotion we feel is intense and powerful. I often find myself crying for the silliest of reasons, which when I was younger, earned me the nickname "Crybaby Abby" in school and online. Melanie Martinez was my biggest inspiration for the look of this tattoo, her album has gotten me through the roughest year in my entire existence, and I could honestly never convey with words how much she means to me. As a person and an artist. Her creativity and uniqueness always inspires me in my darkest of times. During my abusive relationship, I was mocked for crying a lot and so I would blast Melanie's "Crybaby" and try my hardest to remember to love myself and not "fucking care." So, here's to all my fellow Crybabies out there. Whether you're sensitive as fuck, a fan of Melanie's, this one's for you and me.
