giving this a food analogy on the off chance u dont really understand the difference or why i personally find it frustrating and even condescending:
CWs placed on a piece of media by the original creator/distributor of that media are similar to like, an allergen warning on a restaurant menu. They are intended for a wide variety of people to read and determine at their own discretion whether a meal is safe for them to consume. If someone has a peanut allergy and sees that a meal contains peanuts or has been in contact with peanuts, they can then say for themselves "I will not order that!"
And if you were at, say, a buffet and you saw that a personal friend you know for a fact has a mushroom allergy pick up a bowl of stew with mushrooms in it, it would for sure be appropriate to say "I know this is an issue for you, are you aware that this dish has mushrooms"
But it would absolutely be kinda weird and off-putting if you were at a buffet, saw a stranger willingly grab a bowl of soup that contains mushrooms, and then walked up to them to say "ma'am for your own safety i feel it necessary to inform you this soup that you have selected has mushrooms in it".
It's the kind of act that stems from a series of WILD assumptions about that person, including but not limited to the assumption that they even have a mushroom allergy at all, and the ESPECIALLY condescending assumption that they were completely incapable of determining the soup they sought out and selected themselves contained mushrooms.
