and they have a specific relationship with crested caracaras, in which the black vultures assist them by not only preening them after meals but also leading them to food in the first place— due to their superior sense of smell— while the caracaras assist the black vultures by acting as a warning signal in case of danger
and while this is more typical of black vultures, this is not common at all for any member of the falconidae family— it’s a special bond!

Durch generative KI geht uns eine ganz bestimmte Kunstform verloren: "beschissene" Flyer für irgendwelche Events. Ich bin todernst mit euch. Lieber habe ich irgendwas von einem "IT" Ingo (der diesen Spitznamen auch nur hat, weil er im Dorf der einzige mit einem PC ist) der sich halt ein bisschen "austobt" und ein Ergebnis abliefert, das aussieht als hätte jemand einen Regenbogen draufgedurchfallt, als so ein KI-Bild. In eins ist Arbeit reingeflossen und es hat eine Seele, das andere ist realsprech einfach für die Tonne. Und idk irgendwie bin ich auch sehr nostalgisch für diese Art Flyer!

Reading silence of the girls by pat barker for a book club assignment and uhhh not enjoying it really. for all briseis is described as observant I feel like I know nothing about any of these characters except for all the horrible things that happen to them. Briseis is told to forget about her previous life and out of spite she vows to remember it, but like I’m only ever being told about it vaguely. this book has a tell instead of show problem I think. I’ve been told that at a point there’s a bunch of chapters from Achilles’ third person view - which, for a book about the silence of women, ew. but also I feel like kind of an obnoxious amount of time is dedicated to Achilles already. I feel like every single retelling of the Iliad is about Achilles, but this is supposed to be about the girls. speaking of the girls. this is the silence of the girls, but it’s from the perspective of one girl. idk it just. is not doing what I think it wants to be doing and it’s bugging me.
