I also want to ask if anyone knows any decent fics where Erwin survives?

I'm afraid all the fics I recommend will be "shippy fics" because the only ones I read feature Erwin and Levi in some kind of relationship. As far as I'm concerned, you can't really understand Erwin's psychology without also understanding his relationship with Levi, so many of these fics do explore both Erwin and Levi's character in considerable depth.
