I have yet to go to a Turkish hammam while being here in Istanbul. The thrill has sort of worn off and I now just picture my naked body on a slab of marble being scoured down by a perfect stranger. Facts i knew all along but have now only just now taken at face value. Anyhow, this is my version of a trip to the hammam. I got the opportunity to witness one of the most beautiful hammam’s and I took advantage of some downtime while assisting on a shoot and made those marble floors my temporary play field.

My approach was one where I attempted to portray the various elements of a woman when grieving a lost relationship that she held dear, but is resilient in not showcasing devastation or fear. 'It'd be easier for you...' A term that can be interpreted both as a sign of strength and vulnerability. I hope I've done your tune some justice Milo.

Turkey has been such a trip in more ways than one could imagine. So much growth, so many humbling experiences, so many falls, and so many triumphs. I am incredibly grateful for the fate that awaited me in Turkey, and I am glad that I was coincidentally wide open. I was searching and in need of great guidance. I received that, and now it's time to yield on myself. I have loved no other time more, than my time spent here in Turkey. I am incredibly invested in what the future has in store, and I am excited to implement what I have learned into who I am and will be. A lot more humbling times ahead, but now, I feel a bit more prepared, or shall I say, as prepared as I'll ever be.Â
