Hey so like- to all the homophobic Redacted 'fans' (if that's somehow even possible), please note that you are listening to a narrative based audio series that has explored sexuality within its story and its characters for years. Don't believe me? Let's rewind.
Gavin is incredibly fluid in his sexuality and has always been open to short-term intimate relations with other characters, one of them being Lasko, who he had met up with twice in the same day. In his own introductory audio, his advances are made clear when we see Freelancer walk in on him hooking up with another man. And even afterwards, Gavin's attraction towards Freelancer was made obvious. There are also some trans people within this community who have felt seen with Gavin's name change, and with the way I see it, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gavin's meant to be an allegory for transgender identity.
Damien and Huxley are both queer characters who have been in a canonical relationship since 2022. Their relationship has never been quiet even once, and their confession video speaks loudly of that. There's a moment for Damien in the D.A.M.N storyline where he struggles with the weight he feels after coming out to his mother, who can't bring herself to accept the identity of her son. Damien has always done everything to be everything, and this really adds to that struggle. But in the end, he's happy with his identity, and he has people to support him, including Huxley (and his two moms. Cough cough). As a queer person myself, I resonate and see myself in Damien as a character, and I'm sure there are others in this fandom who feel the same.
In the Imperium Alternative Universe, David and Asher were once partners! There were different relationships with different speaker characters that Erik explored, because he knew it would've been interesting to see things that might've happened differently. There have been numerous of characters who have talked about sexuality before, and Erik himself has stated that he's queer! He's expressed his support for LGBTQIA+ voices publicly and on so many of his videos.
You can't just say things like 'Oh, I had no idea!' when that obviously isn't true. You can't just sweep all of this context under the rug and expect no one to point out your obvious bigotry. You are in a fanbase where queer people are here to feel visible, listening to a series that explores queer stories. That shouldn't mean nothing to you.
So, to anyone who is in fact homophobic and somehow still in this community, you don't deserve to collaborate, share content, or participate with others here. You don't deserve to call yourself a listener just to act deaf when others try to point out your egregious behaviour. You bring more hatred than kindness, and that's not what we need right now, nor something we'll ever want. You do not deserve to be a part of this.
