Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā [ā¦] Alex Turner & Miles Kane were the real āhot headlinersā as The Last Shadow Puppets. A fact that they set out to prove on stage for two and a quarter hours, remaining stubbornly suggestive & theatrically imposing and not correspondingly rousing.
Shamelessly confessing publicly that I have barely dealt with the works and days of the symphonic pop duo, let me testify that the choice of the masterpiece āI Want You (Sheās So Heavy)ā by the legendary Beatles knocked me out like the late Muhammad Ali flattened Sonny Liston II in ā64!!! And itās not just that this song of songs sits (along with the whole of āAbbey Roadā) at the top of my personal preferences as the firstborn child of Heavy Metal. Itās the unexpected choice of it, but even more so, the respectable execution they gave us! Epic. I lost many clicks until I got back to class as a working photographer, but it was worth it a thousand times!
Besides, I was hurt much more when in the middle of the set list and for the āneedsā of the sensual āBad Habitsā, these two cuties literally touched their lips while hiding behind the shared microphone (!!!) and we professionals, as usual, had our hands tiedā¦Tied against every single ardent fan of the first series who, with a 14 megapixel cell phone, captured the incredible moment once and for allā¦MY NERVES!!!
