For those interested, these two sets took me 'forever' (i.e. ~8 hours, yes because I filmed most of it). I stitched the clips together and sped it up to show people my not-so-fancy process. Warning It's a boring video, I'm terrible at editing.

CHANGE CAS BG IN GAME!

HISTORIAN PALETTE AND MORE

@sonyasimscc made this wonderful accessory which allows you to change CAS background color while you are playing this game. It’s literally a game changer. I added some swatches to it in the Historian Palette by @serindipitysims​ and some swatches I like (a total of 74).

Custom Starting Sims for CAS (Tutorial & Mod)

Making my way through various CAS files, I found something that I thought might be interesting to at least someone?👀😊

You know, how when you go into CAS, one of EAs sims shows up as the starting sim? You can replace these sims with your own sims. Or, in case you have a certain sim style, you can make it so that only a certain sim, that you want to use as a base, shows up.

Below I show how to do it and share files that you can use as a base (as well as some examples with my own sims).

How to reduce loading times - an overview

The scientist that I am loves to optimize stuff and why not reduce TS4 loading times, especially when there is lots and lots of CC?

By following the steps below I could reduce loading times of my game with 89 GB CC to 47 seconds.

However, keep in mind that in the end the speed of your hard drive will be the limiting factor
