Hello hellooo! It's been a while but thankfully I was able to get this oc concept done. As you can see, here is my own oc's of Kid Icarus game.
This is an idea of 'what if' there were new character in the game, and what story or role they would play in. It's all for fun and imagination but I didn't want to go crazy to mess up the characters and their own lore.
For the record, these characters may or may not be accurate to Greek myth as Kid Icarus game was created as a Greek myth theme.
The Minotaur's character design was reference to the Minotaur from Kid Icarus: Of Myth and Monsters (granted, people has stated that game is not canon to the Upring, but | digress), and his characteristic is based on the Greek myth- meaning that the Minotaur is evil. I imagine he would be Pit's and Dark Pit's new form of biggest fear and nemesis. He wouldn't appear in every chapters, but on certain chapters, he'd be go hunting them down like nemesis (Resident Evil 3) or the bakers (Resident Evil 7). Pit or Dark Pit would fight back, it's just the Minotaur would be impossible to be finish off.
kid is Magnus' son. The kid was based on idol information from Kid Icarus where it vaguely tells you about Magnus- you can also find this in a fight with Dark Lord Gaol when you keep the fighting delay by not fighting much. From the Idol, there's nothing about if Magnus had a son or a daughter, and how exactly did he "lost" his child. In headcanon, Magnus did had a son,- the mother is slightly left anonymously. At age seven, (reference to Ancient Greek when training boys to fight) the kid used to be taught to dig a shovel as it develops strength. In training, the relationship between the kid and his father is sorta like Kratos and Atreus (God of War 2018). He unfortunately was killed by one of the underworld attackers when he was nine years old. The kid's soul was taken to the city of soul where Hades would turn the dead souls to his underworld army of monsters.
By rare luck, the kid and few other souls manage to escape but are stuck in the underworld, trying to survive and keep hope alive while the monsters are hunting them down as their food.
(not canon to the headcanon) The kid is human, but I thought of 'what if his mother was a nymph, and he inherited her powers but haven't had experience to use it before he died. And when he got resurrected, he didn't come back as a half human anymore but as a full fledged nymph, and become like Artemis, while not a god himself but as a nymph hunter (I'm thinking if he could be a plant nymph, I'm not sure TBH). He wanted to reunited with his dad but something or someone has plans for him that is separate from his dad, but as promised for them to be reunited in the afterlife when his father pass away.
I tried to give a slight physical appearance that is different from Magnus, but since I don't know what the mother's would be, I just ended up drawing and color the kid to look like his dad. I jokingly called that kid "Mini-Magnus".
She is an inspiration of the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. I am reconsidering if she should have the same name, but on the other hand i was thinking what kind of a name would she have of her own. I was thinking of name her Etidorhpa, a name that reflect Aphrodite as the mirror is attribute of the love goddess. Like Palutena she has angels of her own, know as Cupids (Roman name of Eros), and her angels are known to be matchmakers, spreading love anywhere they could find. She loves her angels dearly and treat them like they were own children. Generally her angels are nice, while can be quite mischievous and kind spoiled but not rotten. Comically, in her free time, she would read shipping fanfiction and have a spa at the beach.
I did have a bit lore for her, but i was thinking if she should be kid icarus or not. What i mean is that she is quite a copy of Palutena. While Palutena is an inspiration of Athena, there is a common that palutena and Aphrodite share; both have one angel of their own. As for Pit, he is more an inspiration of Eros, Hermes (as a “messenger of the gods”, pit said), and Perseus (who slain Medusa). I know that not all gods have angels and maybe my love goddess can have a character that is different from Palutena, I’m just worried I might made a copy paste of Palutena. My alter idea is that she could be a new younger sister or a adopted daughter of Palutena.
As for her lore, I did say that her angels are not rotten, but my idea is that one of her angels was being corrupted to transform into a demon (not by their goddess, but by becoming evil themselves).
This guy is an inspiration of both Hermes and Hecate. For Hermes, the guy carries the title the “God of Travel” but not “Messenger of gods” (that Pit’s title). He acts like a kid (because he is a kid, for a god), runs around, and often steal things he find (he stole the old light fighter helmet). For Hecate, he has two forms: one for both skyworld and overoworld , and another for the underworld; similarly of Hecate have three forms - and they both carry the torch. He travels around the world, hence it was the reason why he wasn’t around during the uprising. After the event the uprising, he return to the region and find out there are souls that are disorder in the underworld. Is was then decided he would travel the underworld - disguised himself as a witch - and help lost souls to get them to the afterlife, to bring natural order of death and life.
He has a personality of Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog) and/or Kokichi Ouma (Danganronpa V3: Killiing Harmony).
