Boss, like almost all humans in this setting, can change from a human form into a monster known as their alibi. Boss' alibi is sphinx-like, with a lion's body and colourful wings, and a scorpion tail. They are incapable of flight, as their wings* serve a different purpose - they conduct magic, specifically, light magic. Boss specialises in illusionary spells. The eyes on their wings open when they're actively channelling magic, and close when they are inert. Ironically, despite the dozens of eye markings on their wings, Boss is completely blind in their alibi form, and relies on their strong senses to navigate.
