Hi. I read your zoophile laios fanfic and as much as those kind of subjects make me uncomfortable, I think you handled it very well. This story is even more unnerving because I can absolutely see it being Canon to the story. Your fanfic launched a train of thoughts in my mind, one that I wanted to share with you.
Laios's sexuality has always been subject of debate in the fandom. The succubus chapter especially brought many different interpretations. When we see izutsumi's succubus we see that she has two, one appealing to her human side, a representation of her mom. The other appealing to her animal side, a large black cat. I think the same applies to laios.
Laios very much doesn't see himself as human, which I think is the reason why he react to "marcille" the way he did. I think the succubus tried to appeal to the human part of him. The part that is attracted to humans, the part that he deny with all his might. Which is why he had such a visceral reaction to marcille approaching him like that... That's when the succubus changed strategy and turned the image of marcille into an animalistic monster to appeal to his conscious desires.
This chapter illustrate the tragic duality of laios's character. Hating humanity yet yearning for the acceptance of his friends. Dysphoric yet deeply, undoubtedly human. To me, laicille and labru represent a good ending for laios. One where he end up with someone that help him accept his humanity. They're cute vanilla ships that I enjoy.
But there's also a bad ending, one where entirely reject humanity and carry his sexual desires entirely on monsters, or even animals.
Toudencest is also a bad ending in my opinion. One in which he chose his sister for he think that she's the only human being that will ever accept him, and the only one he can truly be himself around. Incest aside, they will certainly become unhealthily co-dependent.
Of course, there's also the possibility of laios being celibate but that's pretty much the Canon ending.
I want to add that it's not me saying that shipping laios with a monster or his sister is bad, I literally have a toudencest sideblog (@toudencestyay hi) I'm just judging it throught what would be healthy for a real person. I hope you didn't mind my rambling. Your fanfic just made me think a lot.

Also, I understand how the subject of zoophilia can be so gut wrenching, Laios is the first character that I could think of exploring the theme, Iâm glad you think the way I handled it was satisfying.
Your analysis is on point, I can really see the duality of human - animal/monster in the narrative. The succubus chapter along with chap 67 are my favourites, you can take so much of Laios character. I love to play with the idea of something *ugly* within him, I think he has so much depth and potential and itâs often oversimplified.
Laios has so many âcontradictionsâ and âcomplementsâ, I can see him being ⌠liminal? In a way he wants to be a monster but he is also extremely human. Heâs so strong and has everything to be power hungry, but in the end is a beloved king. He loves his sister but kills her for her sake. His attraction is also in these lines of being between two worlds. Another reason I love him so much. As you said, duality.
