Tries to make a movie that will please all the fans, fails spectacularly.

Teases main couple for 3 movies and only gives them one kiss at the end.

Hero’s soulmate doesn’t get to take so much as a swing at the Big Bad before getting yeeted into a pit, despite said Big Bad being his family’s ancestral enemy.

Soulmate makes zero contributions to defeating the Big Bad and his presence arguably makes things worse.

Hero’s soulmate dies and she looks more confused than sad.

Soulmate’s death feels like an afterthought.

No acknowledgement of soulmate’s sacrifice to save his beloved, not even a shot of him as a ghost.

Script and editing so bad, not sure if intentional hints at soulmate’s resurrection or just oversights.

Every new word adds another layer of stupidity and feeds our hatred.

Actually makes a movie that pleases fans.

Main couple has been together for millions of years.

Hero’s soulmate actually gets a shot in at the Big Bad before getting preoccupied with another battle.

Hero’s soulmate’s sacrifice helps the hero defeat the Big Bad.

Hero actually takes a second to mourn the death of his soulmate.

Soulmate’s death actually serves a purpose.

Soulmate’s voice and image used in the final attack against the Big Bad in case it wasn’t clear enough that the hero only won because of her sacrifice.

Not at all subtle hint of soulmate’s return.
