“Neon King” Here’s my latest ceramic face casting piece. This one was raku fired with white crackle glaze on the top half, the bottom half is unglazed with horse hair and ostrich feathers burnt in for texture. After letting the top half “crack” while cooling I rubbed black India ink into the openings. Last year I made a plaster cast of my face and made a bunch of different high fire ceramic faces. I’ve been affixing these to wood and framing them.
