#polls #okay so secret third thing for both things #i only care to get married at this point if it's helping me or a friend get health insurance/visas/tax benefits #and as for last name i would take the opportunity to change my last name for far cheaper than changing your name usually is #and change to my grandma's maiden name #my grandfather was a cheating asshole that took credit for his kid's accomplishments while never actually being around to raise them #it's bullshit we've all inherited his last name but i get it this was before no-fault divorce i think so it wasn't common to like #reclaim your maiden name for my grandma or for the kids to do so #admittedly all my cousins are girls and most are married and of those they've all taken their husbands last names #but i think that's also dumb so i'm not gonna do that

#GENUINELY #my friends told me i needed a vacation tonight & i almost started crying bc i have taken several days off work on two occassions last month #and it didn't fix me #i like my job i like my coworkers i've just. been struggling with doing the work lately and idk what's wrong with me #i'm not depressed i'm still accomplishing hobby stuff in the evening/weekends #yes i would love to take a six month sabbatical and just REST but we live in capitalism and i'm the only one paying the bills #and my job involves sitting at a computer from home i KNOW i'm incredibly lucky compared to most #and yet i'm fucking struggling and idfk what to do with it #like i was doing x at work #then i started doing y because of a deadline #the deadline got moved #y still needs to be done but i'm burnt out on trying to complete it #could go back to x for a bit but everyone's using ai for that now and i don't fucking want to #so i've been doing something related to y and now i'm sick of that too #had to do z this week and lately z has been better but this week it was a fucking ordeal too #at least i finally showered tonight maybe everything will be better tomorrow
