NO valid, reliable study has ever found a link between autism and vaccines.

The results of the original study that claimed there was a link were FAKED.

The researcher publicly admitted he found NO link between autism and vaccines.

Further studies were UNABLE to replicate his results.

If a study's results cannot be replicated, the results are not reliable. That means the methods of the study were flawed or someone lied.

And THAT means the study does not prove what it claims to prove - in this case, a link between autism and vaccines.

Vaccines do NOT cause autism.

We already know what causes autism. RFK doesn't need to find the cause or assist in the spread of misinformation.

Autism is caused by genetics.

Sure, maybe there's a preventable cause of autism. Maybe grandma got exposed to some chemical or drug. Maybe a strain of the flu turned on the autism jeans. Maybe mom ate too many bananas while pregnant. It's not completely impossible.

But RFK's registry idea won't help us figure that out. I guarantee no one has jotted down everything my grandparents were exposed to, the exact flu strains my parents were contracted, or how many banana's my mom ate while pregnant. No one has even taken a sample of our genes to analyze. And since autism, especially in females, was rarely diagnosed until relatively recently, there's a serious limit to how far back we can trace the disorder in any family tree even if we tried.

RFK needs to sit down and shut up. Or, preferably, he can go take a nice long walk off a short cliff.

Let me be very clear.

Most autistics don't want a cure. We are NOT sick. We are NOT broken. We are NOT damaged. We don't need to be "fixed." And we definitely do NOT NEED non-autistic people deciding things for us. We do NOT need RFK.

What we need is understanding and acceptance. What we need is for non-autistic people to take the time to try to understand us the way we try to understand them. We need our differences to be respected. WE need respect.

Being in the minority does not make us inferior.

Gold is not inferior to more abundant metals.

Being less capable of functioning in environments that were not designed for us does not make us less functional.
