Kojima has a habit of declaring everybody he works with his friends but then they just kinda dump him afterwards, but Nicolas has stuck around for years and you can see how they inspire each other and have a real interest in each other’s lives.

Nicolas wasn’t a weaboo before he met Kojima but suddenly he has started incorporating Japanese things into his films, like the Yakuza in Too Old to Die Young and the (surprisingly non-sexual) kinbaku show in The Neon Demon. And Kojima was always all about America with a side of Japan, but after meeting Nicolas there’s suddenly a lot of Scandinavian and Nordic influences in Death Stranding.

But it gets better. When Sam first walks into Heartman’s house it’s dark and awash in blue and pink light, Nicolas’ favourite color scheme. Nicolas has said that his movies have bright, contrasting colors because he’s colorblind so colors just sort of blur together for him unless they’re contrasting and he cranks the saturation up. So of course Heartman has the most colorful character design in Death Stranding (along with Amalie). Kojima put him in a blue suit with an orange defibrillator, contrasting colors which are very uncharacteristic for Kojima’s designs, so Nicolas could see it better. How fucking sweet is that!

Of all the people Kojima has used in his works, Nicolas is the only person who returned the gesture and invited Kojima to cameo in one of his productions.

We joke about Kojima and Mads Mikkelsen, but Mads has been like “Sure Kojima is a fan of me, but him and Nicolas love each other” and it almost feels like Kojima made Nicolas the sweetest character because he wanted everyone to see him the way Kojima sees him, at least for a few hours.

I’ve been playing a lot of a game called Death Stranding recently, the brainchild of Hideo Kojima. For the uninitiated, the long and short of the game is that you are a mailman, and your job is to deliver packages from point “A” to point “B,” mostly on foot, and despite whatever obstacles may stand in your way. What I find fascinating about the game, however, has little to do with the packages, but more so what the player leaves behind.

One thing about Death Stranding is that it has online connectivity, which makes it so that whatever structures you build in order to make your trips easier, also have a chance of helping others on their journeys. However, some structures in the game are more unintentional. Wherever a player travels, their footsteps are recorded. If one route is followed enough times, either by one or multiple players, it starts to wear down the terrain, eventually becoming a footpath. These pathways make traversal easier, and can help to plot delivery routes or to find more efficient ways to get around.

This collection has been a long time in the making. What started out as an innocent typo turned into this awesome set!

In 2018 while HeyHarrie was attempting to pester Felixandre for a dream kitchen while watching Twitch, by sending a single all caps letter in each chat message, K I C H E N was born! Yes she forgot the ’T’ in her desperate attempt to have one continuous message down the chat window. The typo didn’t die there, it was a long standing joke amongst mutual friends & Harrie continued to pester for her dream kitchen. Luckily Felixandre was feeling very generous & decided to offer her a collaboration.

This set is designed to blend into any style home, whether it be modern, industrial, retro, traditional or eclectic. With 64 counter swatch options there’s bound to be something that suits your style. The set comprises of 56 items, both new meshes & Maxis mesh edits to fit seamlessly into the game. Its 100% Maxis Match!

Highlights include: built in appliances, classic wishbone chairs, statement resin table, plus more plants then you can shake a stick at!

I honestly can’t think of a better title, but I figured, what better way to celebrate my first blog entry than by sharing some CC to the Sims community? 

So, here’s what you’ll get:

1. A set of paintings from @kacicka777, from her “Art for Manor” post. Converted from TS2-TS4. Check out the original post here.

2. Aglaia’s African Mask, converted from TS3-TS4. The masks are just stickers, not 3D. Still looks really nice though. (Having a hard time contacting Aglaia for permission. If conversion isn’t allowed, I’ll remove the download.)

3. Recolors of Yuxi’s Hotel Chair in velvet fabric, converted to TS4 by @mio-sims. I included the mesh in the download folder because I had to fix some weird shadows under the chair. 

4. HolySimoly’s Industronovo Dining Table, with textures from @mysimmylicioussims. Also added a few textures of mine. 

5. Murano’s Grand Piano from his Twelve Living Room Set. I redid the texture to make it look like a crystal piano. No swatch because it’s just see-through, I might recolor the fabric of the piano bench later on or add some tint to the glass to change it up. 

6. I also threw in some walls for your Sim’s homes. The file size’s a little heavy because I didn’t want to compress the textures in S4S and lose the resolution,  but they’re all seamless and will look good in close-up shots of your interior.
