I’ve rebranded, lol. 

I am deeply saddened by the news of Bloomingrosy closing, but understand why it has to happen. I met heaps of wonderful people there, the nicest within this community, and I can’t thank Lisa enough for letting me join the site. 

Unfortunately, since the site is no longer accessible, the DL links to my cc will not work. I’m currently updating my Tumblr blog and will be posting the direct links soon for those who would like to download my old meshes and a few conversions. 

Another update is - I’m giving this blog a much needed makeover! I’ve been gone for far too long and this place needs a little TLC. I’m trying to make everything look and feel cohesive. 

Last time I was here I did a poll and promised my 2k followers a huge set, and I intend to keep that promise. A lot has happened the last few months and I wasn’t really in the mood to visit Tumblr or work on anything Sims related. I think I’ve found a bit of motivation once again, so I’ll start working on the set soon. And, because I forgot to announce which theme won, it was ART DECO.

STILL LIFE...

Given the recent turn of events, with Corona virus rapidly spreading and a lockdown announcement affecting the CBD where our office is located, I have to work from home. And I couldn’t be happier. 

With the work from home situation, ofc. Not the virus. Just want to clarify that in case it isn’t obvious. 

Anyway, a very generous soul offered me some commission work so that chair from the photo is one of the things I’m currently working on. Not the Pitaya. That was just added because I love tropical fruits. 

So I’ve converted 3 more of these models from Vladimir Radetzki, like I said I would.

Kindly forgive that lackluster in-game prev pic. I’ve stopped playing the game and have no custom content in my mods folder, so no attractive cc to make pretty pictures with. Anyways I’m still making cc because you know, sharing is caring.

No, it’s not the same pic. It’s the Cycles VS. Eevee Render game lol. 

First photo was rendered in Cycles. Render time took 5 mins at 40 samples, GPU compute with denoising enabled, compositing with another run of denoising, no post processing done. 

Second photo was rendered in Eevee. Render time took 10 seconds at 60 samples, no compositing and post processing done. 

I gotta say, even at just 40 samples, Cycles is clearly the more superior render engine when it comes to photorealism. 

I digress, you guys don’t care about that shit lol. So this post isn’t without a gift.

To say thank you for bringing me into their family I created a mini set. It’s not much, just some clutter for your Sims’ office space. Maybe consider this as a little Followers gift as well lol. 

No TOU so feel free to mess around with my meshes. Just keep it FREE & ADFREE. I also made a little more effort in unwrapping my meshes so it’ll be easier for you guys to recolor the objects. Remove the specular map if you don’t like the metallic look.

Here’s the kitchen set I promised (now with dining items too!). Sorry it took a while, haven’t had net for the last few weeks but I’m back online now. 

This set includes 30 new meshes I created.

I have an open TOU because I’m not fussy with my meshes. That being said, if you decide to use my mesh for whatever purpose, just don’t claim it as your own creation. I worked hard on these, possibly even grew a zit or two while making them. So, you know the drill. 

You can finally create that fancy looking kitchen only those rich bastards can afford, but no one really uses for cooking because it’s just to show your friends & neighbors. Enjoy! 

NOTE:

Here’s the recoloring files if you would like to recolor the objects. Most items are only available in copper trimmings but you can color them in whatever metallic shade you want. A couple items have messy UV mapping because I typically handpaint the textures directly in Blender, so feel free to redo the UV maps if you want. If you have a request or something else related to this just pop a message and I’ll get back to you when I can.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

01. HolySimoly’s Wall Mounted Surfboard. In designer surfboard textures. Cause I can’t afford them in real life lol. 

02. Mochasims Gelina Lawn Chair lounger add-on. @mochasims was generous enough to give me permission to convert it. It works as a lounger, cloned it from an Island Living item so your Sims can get their tan on. Check out the original post here. 

03. maybesomethingdunno from ModTheSims’  surfboard and wall rack. So you can finally display your long boards against the wall.

04. And, Murano’s Aloa Build Set from TSR. I have lofty dreams for this set, but alas, TSR Workshop is so buggy (or maybe it’s my brain), that my patience had ran out trying to work things out. Anyways, I got the stairs to work. 

What you’ll get - 

a. The Stairs - it’s functional, but for some reason dragging it out to a 2 or 3-tile stair isn’t working. So in order to make a multiple tile stairs, you have to place a new stair on each tile. Eh, you’ll figure it out. Message me if you haven’t.

b. Fences & Stair Railing - again, tried to make it functional, but the software isn’t very cooperative. And this download is long overdue, so I’d release sculpture versions now and then work on fixing them later. 

c. The Roofs. They’re sculptures and come in 4 versions.

Blender and I are getting chummier now so maybe in the next download I’d release a few of my own meshes.

Just sharing some interior shots of the Beach Estate I’m working on in Sulani. I’d probably finish it by year 2020 at the rate I’m going. 

Pretty proud of the wine cellar/tasting room tho, took me hours getting all those bottles lined up straight.

I honestly can’t think of a better title, but I figured, what better way to celebrate my first blog entry than by sharing some CC to the Sims community? 

So, here’s what you’ll get:

1. A set of paintings from @kacicka777, from her “Art for Manor” post. Converted from TS2-TS4. Check out the original post here.

2. Aglaia’s African Mask, converted from TS3-TS4. The masks are just stickers, not 3D. Still looks really nice though. (Having a hard time contacting Aglaia for permission. If conversion isn’t allowed, I’ll remove the download.)

3. Recolors of Yuxi’s Hotel Chair in velvet fabric, converted to TS4 by @mio-sims. I included the mesh in the download folder because I had to fix some weird shadows under the chair. 

4. HolySimoly’s Industronovo Dining Table, with textures from @mysimmylicioussims. Also added a few textures of mine. 

5. Murano’s Grand Piano from his Twelve Living Room Set. I redid the texture to make it look like a crystal piano. No swatch because it’s just see-through, I might recolor the fabric of the piano bench later on or add some tint to the glass to change it up. 

6. I also threw in some walls for your Sim’s homes. The file size’s a little heavy because I didn’t want to compress the textures in S4S and lose the resolution,  but they’re all seamless and will look good in close-up shots of your interior.

° The chandelier is still pending approval from the creator. Soon as I get an OK I’ll put it up for download.

° Do what you want with the CC, but because most of my work is derivative, please follow the original creator’ s policies first.
