Vox puting the barest amount of effort in celebrating pride is so funny. Everyone else is waving their flags. Angel who is not happy is even doing it. Yet Vox just has it behind his back and is not even trying to wave it and has the fakest smile on his face. I love this man.
Trying to decipher what Vox’s fuckass smile in the soup kitchen scene, Christmas merch, and now Pride merch means.
I see a lot of people saying it’s his fake smile but like, we canonically know that his fake smile is normal. It’s the whole point of the elevator gag from S1 that he’s constantly “on” even if he really isn’t.
Vox stans what are we thinking? Depressive episode smile? Highly medicated smile? On drugs smile? The fucking soup kitchen scene is haunting the narrative on this one.
Caine is a fun character but him coming back at the end is so... its like that 'nothing ever happens' wojack
i think him coming back was good, but the circumstances on which he was brought back wasn’t.
one of caine’s biggest things was not only that he didn’t listen, but he didn’t under the humans. in short he has an inferiority complex and has been feeling that nothing he’s done for them is good enough, even though he’s mostly trying what he thinks is best.
so my personal thing is, would it not make more sense for them to confront him again and have him get human perspective and possibly acknowledge their differences as a group so they can work to find a common ground? rather than having him learn on his own?? why did it even take him that long in the first place if he could do it on his own??? like just NOW you figured out how to try a different way?????

The one thing that kinda soured the movie for me, surprisingly, was Caine's return lmao. Not because i hate the guy (love him!) but...idk i feel kinda empty and disappointed? I guess it ties with my problem with the blue Ai
Like, I know i didn't have high expectations and I know the show it's mostly about the characters and not the lore...but I DID assume we were gonna get the full answers to the whole C&A thing, especially after ep 8. I hadn't realized how much lore about the AIs i wanted until now hahaha
Talking about AIs...i thought Caine's return would be more...difficult, my bad. Likewise, I didn't like how easily they forgot about what he did, sure we can't spend another 30 mins watching Caine winning them over so it's alright i guess, and to be fair the movie never stated how long it took for them to forgive him, right? Maybe it took them weeks, months or years...
I also feel weird about Caine letting the blue AI go just like that...I don't know, I'll go to sleep and put my thoughts in order
I always liked Bubble's voice (and Caine's) so maybe my problem is that i wanted to hear him more hahaha Gooseworx does have a really nice voice afterall (hoping the boss never sees this)
