woke up at about 345am and couldnt fall back asleep (it is now 455am), so decided to post something on tumblr whilst you sleep soundly beside me.

so, here’s a picture of us on a recent trip in vietnam. it was taken on our second last day in the country just before we left the hotel to start our day. we purposefully did not plan any activities and wanted see where the day might take us.

we went for some coffee that turned out to be really good when we weren’t expeting much. we ventured a little further out and had this amazing crab noodle soup where we had difficulties communicating with the lady chef. she wrote stuff down on a paper in vietnamese which was hilarious becuase we don’t speak nor write vietnamese. i love how we are able to try new things without expectation, and often it turns out to be memorable experiences.

after our lovely meal, we ended up sitting at a cafe doing our own things; you watching your podcasts, me reading on my kobo (that you got for me for my birthday). it turned out that the cafe was lgbtq+ friendly and they made sure to let customers know by hanging flags almost everywhere. i love that we are able to be us in public.

we also got some pottery items that you were excited about. you took your time to pick out each piece, making sure they were all to your liking. we must have been there for at least an hour. i love how you pay attetion to each and every detail in the things you love.

there are so many people (and things) that i am grateful for, but by god you are the absolute greatest person i am most grateful for. thank you for being you, for being in my life, and for loving me especially in my darkest moments.

we moved in together over two months ago, and i still cant believe i get to go home to you every single day. i get to wake up next to you every single day.
