I really want to be a writer. 

I really want to be a writer. 

I am frustrated with myself. I am lost to a sea of words. I cannot move nor do I even try to. I float. Surrounded by words that whisper in my ear. Sometimes, I hear a word that piques my interest. I look up. I want to know what that word means. I want to understand what it is trying to say. I hold on. I attempt to speak that word. To know how it is pronounced. To remember how it is spelt.  I hold on tighter against the current. I envision the word paired with other words. Combining them and maybe forming a thought. But alas, I am lost at the sea of words. And the word I had held on to, had let me go.

You're here.

The love you've held so tight has finally slipped through your fingers.

You'll be alright. You have no choice but to be. Chances are, you're wondering- second guessing, what are the things that went wrong, if you could go back and make things better. You could go back but you'd set yourself up for another heartbreak. So let's just stay put and cry our hearts out until we can't cry any more.

Maybe then, we can start taking care of ourselves. We can start by going to the bathroom and having a little bath. Let the water wash away the pain you feel. We could go to the kitchen and cook something for ourselves. We have to eat something right? Let the food fill you up so you don't feel as empty on the inside. Then you can rest and go back to bed because you deserve it.

You can do these steps again and again and add more to it until one day you're filled with so many things to do that you forget you were hurting.
