i mean how fucking awful is it to see someone trying to kill their best friends or lovers or family because some fuckers has got into their head and fucked it up. to see characters yell at someone they love to remember and fight it and you’re stronger than this. to see the aftermath where these characters has to face the fact that they almost killed or did kill someone they care about more than themselves

This is yet another wip but i’m proud of him so far. ❤ 

Eight years ago today, one of the best animated films of all time (In my opinion it is) hit the silver screen captivating viewers to the beautiful friendship between a lone human, who struggled to belong in his tribe and a Dragon thought to be a threat, but was clearly misunderstood.

This film has won our hearts, it’s become a huge part of us, it’s helped us stand strong against whatever life throws at us, it’s made us believe we all can make a difference; we can all accept change and break away from tradition.

With it’s amazing flight scenes, heartwarming moments and characters that we fall in love over an over again, this has to be one of the most touching films to have hit the screens in this decade.

Yes, you all know what film I am talking about.

I mean…can you possibly say “no” to that? :P

My sister (while we’re discussing stuff I could write): The gang dies.

Me: Stop it.

My sister: Only Astrid lives.

Me: Stop it.

My sister: Astrid is crying.

Me: Stop it.

My sister: They died protecting her.

Me: S t o p  i t!

(silence)

(while I’m writing this post)

My sister: Stormfly is dead too.

Astrid paused, the graves still freshly mounded in a tiny clearing she’d been able to make from among the rubble. The five markings, in a row, each one containing someone she loved.

Four of her best friends, and her husband.

She shook her head, her hands covered in soot, blood, and dirt. She set her broken axe aside and stared, the shock and grief overcoming her until she fell to the ground beside the shape of her dead dragon, sobs wrenching from her throat as she finally let the tears fall.

She was alone. They were all gone. Her Hiccup was gone. Her beautiful Stormfly- her friends… all gone…

There was a warble from behind her, but she didn’t bother to pay attention until a large scaly body pressed past her. She peered through her wet lashes and watched as Toothless slowly made his way to the graves. He hadn’t seen her bury them, yet he knew just which one he was looking for. 

He sat down before Hiccup’s grave, simply sitting, and staring. He didn’t move or make a sound, the only noise being that of the crackling fire about them, and the shifting of debris.
