“I think we’re way past hugging it out at this point. The Inhumans are pissed.”

“—sorry! Didn’t mean to land so close to you! Are you alright? I didn’t step on you did I?”

“Seeing possible futures is not as fun as people like to think it is. Until you experience it yourself.. it is difficult to truly explain.”

“No, sorry. I actually uh, missed out on the second half of the Gala. And the after party.” And the next couple days after that as the Quiet Council and the Five ultimately decided to resurrect her.

“What.. are you gonna tell on me?” Felicia laughed to herself as she shook her head. “I think Tony Stark’s got enough to cover a bag of chips and a run down vending machine.”

“ha ha - you’re not normally one to brag. but yeah, it would’ve been real handy.”

“Right? Before you know it you’re going in circles without even realizing it. It’s hard.” Cindy laughed softly, feeling a bit better that Kate was at least relating to her. It was definitely a relief to know she wasn’t alone with the anxiety. “That’s the hard part, though. Especially trying to get everyone to do it.”

Cindy chuckled softly at Kate’s words as she shook her head. “No need to. It’s pretty glaringly obvious. But thanks. I’m not quite sure if I’ve left that awkward phase, but you know. I guess I can’t really blame myself for that.” She could blame her parents, maybe. Or Morlun.

“Thanks. Figured I would jump before I fully went down with it.” Daisy had been close to that point, but she knew it was for the best that she seperated herself from S.H.I.E.L.D. after everything that went down. They were definitely in hot water. Boiling. “I never thought I’d be agreeing with you, but yeah. The way they used Westview as inspiration for Pleasant Hill was just hypocritical and wrong.” She took a deep breath. “And now the entire universe is cracking because of it. Go figure.”

“It’s cold out— you should be wearing gloves!”

“There’s been a lot going on. Been busy. If you’ve got something to say, spit it out.”

“—it’s harder to stay away from this time than I thought it would be, alright? If you could see where and when I grew up, I don’t think you’d blame me for wanting to come back.”

“Just that its urgent. And I want to speak with them before I go public with this.”
