Another thing I’ll say, anecdotally of course but still, doctors have also been way more receptive when I’ve said a MALE third party recommended I ask about something.

If you’re telling them someone told you, make it a man. Your brother told you, not your sister. Your dad told you, not your mum. Your uncle, not your aunt.

Maybe it’s coincidence, but when my mum used to take me to therapy no one took me seriously. When my male best friend took me, suddenly people paid attention to what I was saying.
