A shitty little art rat

In the raster (Adobe Photoshop) section of the course I help instruct, we sometimes have our students make album art or a movie poster (see previous post) as a fun assignment amongst the more serious projects we have them do.

In order are the examples I made so the students have some in-classroom inspiration to draw from:

We're about to wrap another iteration of the course I help teach and we usually rotate out our Photoshop assignments (some classes do movie posters and others do album art - I'll post those examples in a different post). While the students are working, we (the instructors) like to make examples along side them so future classes have examples to draw from. With the release of The Last of Us and the change of the start of the infections from 2013 to 2003, I knew I wanted to do something that felt like an early 2000s horror flick - something along the lines of Final Destination or The Amityville Horror (2005) - but still captured the vibe of the game and the show.

Everything was done in Photoshop. When I tell you there were a billion adjustment layers? Boy howdy.
