When I was just observing Deltarune, chapter 3 was the one I heard the most about because of Tenna. Everyone was talking about him and Spamton. The whole reason I got this game was so I could understand the hype around him. From what I’ve seen, yeah he’s funny, clingy, kooky, but I think I need to see more of him to get it.

Though he does give us the most insane animations in this game so far like his intro, the font of certain words. Fits how extra he is. 

Raslei’s going through it this level probably because he said that nothing from the dark world is real or at least shouldn’t be real, which of course offended Susie. (also is that Ralsei plush real and for sale?)

Lanino and Elnina have the best designs.

OK, maybe I was exaggerating when I said I hated Berdly. It was kind of funny, seeing him accept stupidity when he humbled himself. I like it when his face squishes. 

I finally met Spamton and read all his lines in my shitty Caine voice. Unfortunately, I heard that most of his scenes are in the weird route which I didn’t play. Maybe one day I’ll play it or I’ll just watch people play it.

Queen is still so goofy and stupid. I love seeing a femme fatal villain get the most ridiculous dialogue. Does she count as a bimbo or was it just the battery acid Martinis talking?

Raslei got a little butler outfit aaaahhhh 💖💖💖. Also is Ralsei a Titan or descendant of a Titan? Is that why he looks like a lightner?

Rouxsl is still here and he is still very funny. I love how they just left him to die.

Noelle and Susie literally went on a Love ride together 💜💛💜💛. Susie wagged her tail. Noelle sees as her knight in shining armor. They both immediately shut down the idea of Berdly getting in the way and starting a love triangle. and Yet Susie still scared her away 😫. Toriel, I know you’re divorced but get this girl dating advice, stat. 

I don’t think the conversation about keeping the fountains flowing will be just a one-off. Having these fountains around means more adventures, but it comes at the cost of the worlds being unbalanced. I don’t think Kris wants to seal them either but since they’re possessed, they kind of have to. I think it will lead to a chapter ending where Kris decides not to seal a fountain and leave it open, which will probably lead the terrible consequences. 

Speaking of Kris, I know now that they’re being possessed by the player, and the scenes in the bathroom and the bedroom are meant to be them freeing themselves. Is Kris usually this violent? We know they’re quiet and has a little bit of a violent side because in the search history room they look up knives. Why did they slash their mom’s car tires? what the fuck was that smoke effect in the end? Was it just a way to transition to the credits? I still have so many questions. 

Noelle is in Lesbian Love with Susie ❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️, which I knew from what I’ve seen that they would start dating, but I didn’t know that the crush happened this early on.

The dark worlds are so fucking creative. The first one being a bunch of board games in a school closet and now the second one is a library computer that looks like something out of Cyberchase. So cool.

I love how goofy Queen is. She’s so iconic.

I get why they’re called Addisons now. Was the virus enemy meant to be a Dr. Mario reference?

And finally,

Finally finished Deltarune chapter 1.

I may be playing as Chris, but Susie is the main character in my heart 💜. I wonder what other purple bully character would have benefited from knowing that if she surrounded yourself with people who love her, she doesn’t have to be miserable and can improve as a person.

Rousxl Kaard, I’ve only known you for an hour, and you’re already the funniest character in this game. The king beating us up after we healed him, easily one of the top 10 betrayals in anime history.

Lancer just being a little kid who wants to protect his friends and his dad 🥹. Now he’s the king and he’s just goinv to wing it, which will totally go okay.

Also, was Raslei a lightner this whole time? Was he adopted into a darkner royal family, and why does he look like the goat people that raised Kris?

Birdly is Mandark with feathers. Noelle’s dad is dying. Kris’ parents are divorced which I can tell is going “great.”

What the fuck just happened to Kris? Are they possessed, infected, is there soul stuck in that cage forever? All of that fear only to be hit with “I’m with you in the dark.” it started with a slap in the face only to end with one.

I am finally playing Deltarune

I’m currently on chapter 1 I just finished the fight against Susie and Lancer.

I’m really enjoying it so far, I like the world, I like Susie, Lancer’s a cute Wario/Bowser Jr. hybrid, the forest feels like a rejected Alice in Wonderland game but in a good way.

I always take a liking to franchises whose character designs range from semi human and furry adjacent to freaks of nature. The beginning having you make an avatar only the slap you in the face with it being rejected and putting you in Kris’s body. That and the game mechanics, the prophecy, and some of the dialogue opens up the themes of identity and autonomy, being your own person in a world that wants you to be a certain way.

Let me know if there’s anything I should be aware of going into this game or any famous fan works I should watch. Right now I’m really having fun.
