I haven’t seen anyone else post these here yet, but I thought this thread of alex rochon’s post finale thoughts was really interesting! I’m still forming my thoughts so I’m mulling this over for now

And now I’m older, absolutely disgusted by the idea and process of giving birth, disgusted by the act of getting pregnant, and aware that if I were to get pregnant it would likely lead to my death.

So, no. I don’t think I feel very different about the subject now that I’m older. I don’t feel different about ANY of those subjects. No, I’m not going to have children. No, I’m not going to date anyone, man nor woman nor anything in between and out.

Aromanticism and asexuality are treated like a curse that is only given to the scum of the earth and I’m sick of it. I knew I was aromantic from a very young age, are you going to look that child in the eye and tell it that what it’s feeling is wrong? And I’M the scum of the earth?? Really???

The fact that people see literal opinions of the self as something that only adults can have is so idiotic. “My favorite color is blue :)” “Don’t say that you’ll feel different when you’re older.” Like sure maybe they will but that does not matter at the moment just because their favorite color might be red in a couple of years doesn’t mean that their favorite color couldn’t have ever been blue. People change, yes. But the person they once were is still a factor of self.

If one day I wake up and I’m not aromantic anymore I will still have been aromantic. The fact that I have changed doesn’t mean I “wasn’t actually aromantic” it just means that I am different now. I will always be aromantic, whether it be something in my past or still in my present.

I'm assuming the kane kids died in the explosion and wound up in valhalla, while julius was taken to hel because of the insanely specific valhalla rules. valhalla's warriors, of course, are huge fans of the kanes bc of how insanely powerful they are, but being, yknow, kids, carter and sadie aren't huge fans of all these expectations

amos probably breaks into valhalla to fetch his niece and nephew like how he comes to get them at sadie's house in tkc, I just really like that idea

I'm considering how zia would fit into this. desjardins could be one of the thanes potentially, but zia is pretty young, and are they dead or not? I kind of like the idea of them being a valkyrie, and since that's a women-only position it can cause some interesting drama once he transitions and/or once he realizes that loki may be his father

I also really love the idea of sadie and perhaps zia (or maybe amos?) as rune users. I just feel like it would 1) fit their stories and 2) be sick as hell. plus one of the rules of being a rune user is you have to have undergone great suffering and I think they fit the bill lmao

i LOVE the valhalla warriors having made the kane kids into celebs and them having to deal with that on top of everything else. it's also a nice divergence from the books where the rest of the per ankh hates their asses lol

i can imagine zia as either tbh (gonna use he/him bc zia is forever and always transmasc to me <3), though maybe the most sense to me is he dies at like an event parallel to the end of trp when the shabti dies in canon? or perhaps at the end of ttof. i just think him dying somewhere during the plot and joining valhalla makes the most sense
