It’s been some time but I’m back with birthday commission of Kovaal for @karabored <3

(After much deliberation) Orynthia is likely to be the one to steal the covers, as she is quite petite and tends to get cold rather easily. Klement is much of the opposite, and he’d be more of the type to push the blankets to the end of the bed or tuck Orynthia back if he notices she’s uncovered. On the other hand, because Kovaal does not sleep, he is generally on cover duty and makes sure that both of his partners are comfortable as they sleep. He generally takes it upon himself to do maintenance-related tasks when Klement and Orynthia are asleep, but there are definitely nights where he gets caught in between them in bed and has to stay put for the whole night (tag-team vicegrip, lol).

Then allow me to try to explain. 

You exist in a world where Evil, Pure Evil, is real. This is not philosophical concept where the most spineless of thinkers attempt to render everything to the most base of ambiguities. It is an animating force of the hungry dead, the banner of fiends hungry for souls to enslave for eternity, the Darkness pooling from the outside, bringing with it horrors unmentionable. And it can be read upon the hearts and souls of people, even yourself.

And in turn so is Good. It is the energy that births worlds, the miracle stuff that can birth souls from the inanimate. Lords of the Empyrean, the Honorable Archons teaching the codes that promise justice, the Noble Angels instructing the promise of love in all its forms, the Brave Azata showing all souls how to be free from chains and darkness. It is the beauty of an old man teaching his grandaughter stories of how to be kind and brave, and her, even when she is alone in this world, remembering what he told her and making the quiet fire of what she learned burn brightly forever.

To be a “generic” paladin, is to realize not only is there a Darkness to be faced, it’s not enough. You must be everything the Darkness is not, the promise of Light in a frail mortal shell. Whether the gods found you worthy or your faith was bright enough alone, you made the Oath that no Darkness can defeat or understand. To Rage Against the Dying of the Light, To Be What the Darkness Cannot Comprehend.

You’re that race. The race that society as a whole tends to rotate around for some reason. You don’t have the long life nor the wisdom of the elves. You don’t have the stoutness or craftsmanship of the dwarves. You don’t have the strength of the orks. Hell, you come from a family of farmers, so even compared to other humans, you’re nothing.

And you don’t give a shit. Because you can help people. You can help someone, somewhere. And that’s all you need. Then one day, something happens. Maybe you’re in a fight, protecting someone from bandits, when suddenly as you strike out at the bandit leader, your sword is illuminated with holy light. Maybe you’re in some hovel, tending to a sick old man, and as you’re holding up his head to help him drink the broth you’ve prepared, your hands start to warm, and you watch as life returns to the man’s eyes. Or maybe you’re praying, seeing the city around you continue to crumble day by day, begging your deity to send someone to help, when you hear “Then why are you still on your knees? Go.”

And a core part of the paladin fantasy is the desire to save the world. Just a regular human being whose quest is to protect all that’s good and push back the dark. And being someone who takes succor in that dream, to live with honor and glory is a dream worth living and dying for.

It’s that time of the year again! Last year’s challenge was a huge success and a lot of you were asking if there’s going to be another one this year, so here we go!

What is Draecember?

Draecember is an event for all draenei fans out there, created with the intention of celebrating our favorite WoW race in a creative way and enjoying each other’s work! The event starts on December 1st and ends on the 31st.

Rules:

Draw your draenei or write a short story about them.

You can follow the prompt lists, but if you don’t feel like following them, you can also come up with original ideas!

As said before, you don’t need to keep up with the lists. If you can’t keep up for whatever reason, that’s fine! Create as much as you like, even just one drawing/short story is already amazing!

Please try to keep it SFW! I know sometimes it’s tempting to make NSFW pieces, but I want to keep the challenge safe for younger folks. Thank you!
