You ask me what I’m thinking about…I tell you that I’m thinking about..him

[…] I don’t get nervous easily on stage, but that day(AMAs), I was so nervous. […] That day, I went into my hotel room and cried, thinking “This isn’t what I wanted.”, “I hadn’t wanted a situation that was this burdensome.” But I knew that was the beginning, because it wasn’t as though we’d only go once, so it was really scary. You’ve got to see enough of the ground. Even on the plane, when you can see the ground, you think you’re flying, but when you’re in the clouds, you don’t really feel it. It was so glorious and I was so thankful, and yet, I also wondered “Is this right? Are these things what we’d hoped for?” […] I’d seen it often - the prime years of the artist passing, and not being able to perform in venues they had previously secured  and so I thought often from a young age that rather being mocked for that, it would be better to stop while on top. (But now) I think I’d like to be on stage until the moment I can land well. That’s what I think landing well looks like. Previously, I was worried that going from a crowd of 10,000 to 5000 to 2000 would be too difficult for us, that it’d be sad, but wouldn’t that in fact be a true ‘landing’ for those who remain?
