First Marathon Reflections Reflecting on my first marathon, I ponder what to say in a succinct, yet inspirational, manner. I chuckle instead because when on our way back from the race, Steph asked me about my marathon experience, I said, “I hate to tell you guys, but I had zero profound thoughts.” There was no Eureka moment that would help me, for example, solve the methodological issue of the experimental novel I'm writing or the moment during which I realize that I don't want to be a lawyer and I'm going to pursue theology (the experience my beloved Rabbi Jeremy Gordon of New London Synagogue shared with me years ago).
