ok time for temple of the ocean king. Gotta start from the beginning because you get stuff by killing the previous unkillable phantoms who instakill you

Last floor! Had to defeat 9 phantoms which I did using the power of my hole

....Perhaps I should rephrase that last bullet point....

That was a really good game I enjoyed it immensely.

I just wish I had all heart containers but the definitely-not-beedle isn't here which is where i buy the last container

Ah, but you see. I want to do all of them. I have every reason to do the task but my body won't let me. checkmate. also i just vacuumed the whole house. so. anyways!

So, I'm naturally basing these rankings off of how much I enjoyed them and to me the most fun parts are good the puzzles are and how well the dungeon items are incorporated and how much of a real "proper" dungeon it is. Do keep in mind I can be very easily persuaded to change my opinions

The worst is the ghost ship. The puzzles were lacking or just uninteresting. It wasn't difficult or anything and the final dungeon boss just felt like a strong mini-boss rather than an actual boss.

Mutoh's temple is better but it felt very short which I don't like. It had a couple of fun puzzles that involved raising and lowering the water level and a type of puzzle where you had to use the hammer to flick switches in certain ways but the puzzles were pretty uninteresting and pretty repetitive.

Then is the temple of courage. A pretty good dungeon. The item was the bow and arrow, which they certainly made use of. They incorporated the idea of Courage pretty well using the invisible mazes and pits and enemies. The boss, too, was quite good. It went invisible but you saw it's POV on the top screen so you had to shoot an arrow at it in faith that it would hit the boss.

What follows is the temple of wind. The dungeon item here was the bomb bag which I always really love. There were quite a bit of wind things and wind puzzles (like gusts that you have to disable or throw a rock on) and some bomb puzzles. They did incorporate breathing but it isn't as bad as fucking spirit tracks…. I liked the sneaking around and the puzzles were pretty fun.

Then the temple of fire! This is the first dungeon in the game, whose signature item is the boomerang. They made extensive, extensive use of it and I just think the boomerang is a really fun puzzle. I think they could have done more though. The dungeon boss was very easy but whatever it's the first dungeon. Lots of puzzles with shock switches and a couple of trapdoors and whatnot. Enjoyable.

Goron temple! A really good dungeon. Here we get the bombchus which were used in some really clever ways. All previous items (like the bow, the normal bombs, the boomerang) were also incorporated quite nicely. It also introduced the mechanic of switching POVs to become the bowling ball- i mean Gongoron. I enjoyed that but I think they didn't use it enough. They later added it to a minigame but I wish I saw something similar a bit more. The build up to the dungeon was also pretty fun.

Now for the best ones. First is the temple of ice. This is where we got the grappling hook which is one of my favourite items besides the bomb bag. Lots of ice puzzles and clever ways to use the grappling hook and some good puzzles. If it were just this, I would rank it below the goron temple. What ranks it higher is the final boss. Gleeok is such a good, cool boss fight. I love it so much. What helps is that this dungeon item is used extensively for a bunch of things I had found earlier but no way to access yet so that felt very satisfying.

And then naturally the best one was the temple of the ocean king. This is a time sensitive dungeon of many, many floors which incorporates puzzles from every dungeon. Every item was used extensively in some good situations, including even the shovel. You get a time limit on solving the puzzles, all while dodging the phantoms, bubbles, phantom eyes and wizzrobes. It was really fun to figure some of these puzzles out. I also liked that each time you entered the dungeon with a new item, you could find new ways of moving faster and accessing new items and shortcuts.

i need more arrows and bombchus I wasted all of them on the fucking temple of the ocean king (in my defense they were really useful)

luckily the hookshot thing takes care of them easily without costing anything

ok i drained the entire island of water. should be fin- WAIT NO IM AFFECTING THE TROUT POPULATION (Trout are now salt water fish)

Nevermind! Puzzles were fun! There were some water puzzles where you had to switch the water level

The core item was the hammer and most puzzles involved exactly that. A very very short dungeon but definitely not bad
