in the wake of watching TATBILB and Crazy Rich Asians this summer, i’ve read a number of articles about the importance of representation and seeing yourself in media – and it’s very true! as an asian-canadian female, these stories both spoke volumes to me (not to mention how lovable LJ is as a protag, or how wholesome Jenny Han’s story was, or how great the art direction of the movie!!) – and made it all the more compelling to create something inspired by it :)

Better Art Challenge DAY UNO: Head Shape

first, I studied a bunch of people’s faces who i like to draw and learned about different face shapes . Than I used a marquee tool to make some random shapes and (tried) to make some different face structures out of them. Finally, I doodled, as usual
