Guys, what are some fond memories you end up thinking about from time to time? I have one, but ya gotta promise to share yours too in the comments okay? Alright :) Well, to start off, I want to introduce y’all to my very first guitar. Ive always wanted to play guitar ever since elementary school, but I never got to until much later. Even though we didn’t have enough for lessons at the time, my drive for the strings and singing never stopped. However, one of my childhood friends opened me back up to it years later and the fire in my lit up again. What I thought was even more a coincidence, I was put into a music class randomly in my senior year, and everything taught was about -you guessed it- the guitar. It didn’t take long for my determination to triple in value though. I convinced my mom and soon, I was able to buy one at the music shop near my highschool for a little under 200. I wanted it to be a beautiful, shiny black guitar because I loved the one that Alex from Arctic Monkeys was playing one in his live shows ( I tell you I was mesmerized. )I was so happy that after so long, I could finally learn. I tried my best to learn on my own for two years, and when I felt I needed more guidance, I got guitar lessons at the same shop near my school. And here we are now! It was always so fun and I’ll never forget it. I actually remember that I was heavily misunderstood, depressed and rebellious around this time, and tbh I even found it fun skipping school to listen to arctic monkeys and the Neighbourhood, or taking an adventure late at night with my best friend and actually surviving lol. I even use to stay up and play my own made up tunes on it with short, blue hair and trippy lights scattered across my bedroom walls. Those days were reckless, emotional,and vulnerable and it seemed like nothing else mattered. I’ve definitely learned a lot from back then. Thankfully, through all the bad times in between, music has always been there for me.
