“Cmon, it’s morning we have to get up.” Edward says calmly.

“No we don’t.” You say with attitude. You put your head into his neck to bait him. Ruffling his hair to make him curl up into you.

“Don’t make this harder for me.” He groans softly. He looks up at you with those stupid eyes that make you do whatever he wants.

“Please, Edward I really don’t feel like getting up.” You whine.

Suddenly, he sits up. You sit on his lap while he rubs your back. “That’s what you said yesterday.”

He stretches before trying to gently lift you off him. Obviously, you grab him and dig your head into his neck again.

“Fine, we can stay in.” He says with mock annoyance. You immediately grin and raise your hands to cheer. He picks you up gently and laid back. Watching you slowly drift off into sleep.

“Please don’t fall asleep yet. I can’t watch you sleep for another 3 hours. When I said ‘stay in’ I meant watch movies, make food, cuddle. Not watch you sleep for hours.”

“Fine.” You reply. As you get up and get ready to make food, he is already making food, with a stupid apron you bought him years ago.

“You still have that?” You giggle while saying.

“Obviously, my amazing girlfriend gave me it. How could I not?”

summary:during rehearsals brendon is persistent on protecting his precious hat,however he doesn’t seem to object when his beloved girlfriend ‘borrows it’

it was no secret brendon adored his hat. he wasn’t even obliged to wear it in rehearsals,even recommended to not wear it but of course,he didn’t listen.

he persisted in consistently wearing the accessory and when everyone finally just let him wear the attire he had a different problem to deal with;everyone now wanted his hat,he just can’t win,and this did not sit well with the poor boy

he spent half of rehearsals sprinting around the room to prevent his headpiece from being stolen,he was the one with the ‘zendaya hat curse’ as you always said.

the music was being altered due to a faulty in the speakers of the room,leading everyone to have a half hour break.

it was a relief and a well deserved rest because it’d been the most strenuous schedule of all time.

four dances had to be perfected in the span of one week. they’d all been done but there were still necessary tweaks to make it perfect.

today was the day the dance director decided to preform all of them. it was stressful and there was still one more left.

completely unfazed to the routines,brendon did not let his hat leave his head the entire day.

well,when preforming a small stunt it flew off in the process and his gasp was bewildering.

on the other hand of the spectrum,the day had taken the biggest toll on poor little you.

it being the first major roll that also involved dancing, you were shockingly good for a beginner but internally it was twisting and twirling your muscles.

it had honestly wiped the energy out of you so having the opportunity to munch several snacks,energy bars and drink enough water to extinguish a small fire really made a difference.

the cast had dispersed around the room,ryan and dayton,also unbothered due to their part in their dance group brotherhood,goofed about by the mirrors

kylie,liamani and alexandro were lounging around alongside zavien, talking about whatever struck to mind

kiara and malia were propped up against the wall,leaning against eachother as they murmured with small smiles

you had completely flunked out on one of the chairs by a table,head resting on your arm until you heard a familiar voice dramatically calling your name

only managing a tired moan he effortlessly hoists you up and plonks down in your seat,placing you on his lap.

one arm supported your lower back as to not fall while the other provided an open energy bar infront of you

“eat my darling dancer” he exaggeratedly says,pressing the bar to your lips until you take a bite.

“my god how do you do this” you sigh,resting your head on his shoulder when he feeds you another bite

“it’s my charm and swagger…and my hat” he jokes,sustaining you with the rest of the bar before flinging it into the bin

“yeah okay zendaya” you tiredly grin,slowly regaining your energy after a power nap and a lot of snacks

“hush my sweetheart,you must regain energy for dancing” he says calmly,gently running his warm palm up and down your spine

“oi brendon” a recognisable voice calls out,one who belongs to your best friend kiara

he looks up at the two girls,nodding absentmindedly,not showing any signs of wanting to move from holding his precious girl.

everyone else seems to reciprocate knowing glances,slowing getting up as kylie whips her phone out to subtly film.

“cmere” zavien calls out,now beside the girls with a toothy grin

glancing at you,he taps your thigh with his free hand initiating you to get up.

understanding the hint you uncurl yourself and stand from his lap,already missing the warmth.

he stands behind you,twining his finger through the belt hoop of your shorts as if it was second nature

“i have a feeling im gonna get jumped” he drags out,laughing but his eyes hold a tint of confusion.

you glance to malia who inconspicuously gestures for you to come over. it finally clicking, you turn and press a kiss to his cheek whispering a good luck before untangling yourself and sauntering over to your besties.

the group had now circled brendon and his face showed nothing but concern until the first wave of attack came.

both dayton and liamani launch onto the boy,desperately trying to grip his hat.

it all clicked to him and he almost screamed

“my hat! don’t touch my hat!” he yelped,gripping the rim of it for dear life as he tried to escape.

only for ryan,alexandro and zavien leaping at him prodding and plying at his headgear.

“hey that’s not fair it’s like a…..six vs 1!” he tries to reason,an idea striking his mind

“reader!” brendon shrieked,manoeuvring his way to grip your wrist in a last minute attempt.

whether he was trying to use you as a human shield or what you had no clue,hence you gripping both kiara’s and malias hands to drag them into it with a squeal of laughter

“my love,save me!” one hand still gripping his hat while the other grips onto you

with a genuine laugh from the warmth around you,you reach up to his hat as well. to everyone’s surprise, he allows you to grab it?

removing it from his head you plonk it on your own,everyone halts for a second

before you even realise,your feet leave the ground and you’re now lifted onto brendon’s back

“haha! we have high ground they won’t get us that easily,hat!” he grins before everybody decides a 2v6 is now fairer they continue their action

every person was now in a fit of laughter,kylie’s phone shaking as she still films the entire debacle.

just as ryan had lifted dayton on his back,not that he needed the extra height,and the hat was about to be stolen a loud beat echoed through the room

“it’s fixed!” the director happily announces “break over my people!”

everyone still recovering from the activity,with cheesy grins everyone begins to position themself ready for the next dance

somehow flinging you from his back over his shoulder,you ended up bridal style in brendon’s arms.

his cheeks were dusted pink from happiness “you’re the only person i’d share my hat with,my darling” he softly murmurs

chest heaving,you reach and remove the headpiece from your head and gently positions it back on him

“looks better on you my trickster” you grin,kissing his cheek before he places you carefully down as if you were glass china.

before you could stalk off to your position,he catches you by your beltloop and pulls you back agaisnt him. kissing your lips gently afore he saunters off to his place,leaving you with the blushed cheeks.

later on when you two were back home,you see kylie’s latest video which included the previous scheme ,the comments flooded with sweet messages about the two of you.

what can you say,you just had girlfriend privileges
