Sonic Fandom, Need Prompts
I want to write more fanfiction because I've found it fun, but as I am seeing now, prompts help me to write stuff, and I am realizing I am not doing so well with open-ended. So I kinda wanna just take requests for one-shot stories that people would like to see written. I want to keep it T-rated, but I'll entertain some M-rated ideas so long as there aren't expectations of very graphic scenes. Currently been doing the fluff thing for a minute, but if the prompt inspires I'll try anything. Won't know what would sound good if I don't get to hear it.

Been out of the fandom for a long time, I have come back recently because my life was lacking some serious whimsy, so I went back to the well. Maybe a controversial take, but things seem so much better with fans these days than they were back when I stopped hanging out in the space during the dark ages. In a world that is so... Well, you know... This has been a source of optimism for me. A comforting warmth in the place I honestly was expecting the least. I imagine if I were a better artist or something, it might be different; maybe those people deal with more nonsense. But as just, like, a run-of-the-mill fan? This is nice, at least so far.

The Paradox
When compliments, no matter how small, provide that weird combination of both validation and shame. When people like the stuff I do, it is never not weird. I am always appreciative, but I never consider anything to be like, high quality or anything. I just kinda do stuff sometimes, and in the moment I'll post it wherever it gets posted. Like, I appreciate it greatly, but I also think it's undeserved. Even if it might not be? I don't have a big audience for anything that I do or have done, but every single one of those comments keeps the fire alive. I just wish my brain handled it in a healthier way.

Sonic and Blaze are such interesting foils.
Blaze starts off as someone who doesn’t have to do it alone but chooses to do so, pushing everyone away to take a lonesome path. She takes it clawing and biting and forcefully.
Sonic is someone who started things alone because he had to do it alone at first — he didn’t know anyone. Then as soon as people want to get to know him and join him, he lets them! He goes from a one man band to part of a group bc he lets people in with open arms.
Blaze was born with responsibility. Not the trait, but the task. She’s responsible for an entire kingdom’s wellbeing. She didn’t choose this path, but she wholeheartedly embraces it. (And when she learns of more dimensions, she takes up the responsibility to help them too.)
Sonic was born with no responsibility. He was an ordinary guy. But when he saw wrongdoing, he decided someone’s gotta step up and hey he’s here so it might as well be him! Whether it’s for a flicky, or an island, or the whole world — Sonic just continuously picks up the responsibility to protect and helps others. He wasn’t born with it. He chose it, and he’ll keep choosing it.
Blaze is royalty, the crown princess of a kingdom. She is one of their most important figures.
Sonic is quite literally just a dude. He’s an ordinary citizen, with no status or wealth.
Blaze is afraid of heights, and Sonic free falls off of planes with whoops and laughter.
It doesn’t matter if you view Blaze and Sonic platonically, romantically, antagonistically, or some other thing. They’re so interesting when you put them side by side.

Welp
Guess it's time to start a new fic, but I think I'll just keep that continuity. Had too much fun with it and I did an okay job of presenting other characters and building them up a tad. Sonaze week got me back in the mood to write again. So I may as well keep that storyline going with a sequel.
