I guess I didn’t notice until s3ep20 (“lo-fi”) because he switches so quickly when he is talking to Will in an “official” capacity and then turns around to talk to JJ. The other times this happens it’s usually in different scenes so I didn’t notice.

This is what bothers me — the episode is set in Georgia, and they specifically say Atlanta. However, throughout the episode, it is described as a “rural area.” Anyone who knows anything about Atlanta knows that it is big -- the city limits are about 132 square miles, but the metropolitan area spans roughly 8300 square miles.

As someone who has previously lived in ATL for a significant amount of time, anyone who lives there loves to say/correct you when you say they live in ATL and will instead say the specific smaller city or district inside of ATL.

Maybe they rationalized this by saying they needed to be at the nearest fbi office? But the team goes to local police precincts in almost every other episode.

But, like, if the unsub is in a "rural area" and the fbi office is inside the ATL perimeter, it’s going to take a long ass time to get to the crime scene. Especially with the traffic

Did the writers think that the South has no big cities and is just rural countryside?

I am just starting my fanfic writing journey, and I need to find some courage and inspiration (any wise words are welcome). I have a lot of ideas, but I want more!!

I've mainly been writing Spencer Reid stuff in my drafts, but I also have some Hotch ideas. I may write things for other characters, but I'm sticking to CM for now. I haven't written any smut yet, but I'd be open to it.
