there is something wrong with the system and it scares me that nobody seems to be trying to fix it.

this is something that always bothered me  whenever we had “ice breakers” in school and shit I’d have to suck it up  I had to make presentations  it always made my hyperventilate and exceedingly nervous and I didn’t understand it I never knew what was wrong with me until college when I had a full blown panic attack (at work) and the symptoms sounded like a heart attack to my colleague and they took me to the hospital  I have an anxiety disorder and forcing shit like this on kids isn’t “preparing them for the world” it’s damaging them in the future

equating school to slavery is extremely crossing the line but otherwise I agree

true, it was crossing the line. but yeah like I get cracks in my voice when a teacher tells me to read aloud and when I say I’m not comfortable they force me to. Like as a teacher you’re meant to encourage, not force right? Unfair.

Okay, the last one (the bottom one) really speaks to me because I am sad and I hate myself but I have to make good grades. Schools put so much pressure on us for getting good grades, et cetera  that it damages us to get a good future. Instead, we die each and everyday. Depression & social anxiety from school kills us. School is a murderer.
